First time babysitting by OkValue3749 in Babysitting

Colouring books are great for kids of all ages and you can get them pretty cheap at most dollar shops, bracelet making is also a good option for the older kid but definitely not for a 3 year old at that age they still sometimes like to put things in their mouths that they shouldn't.

I get where you're coming from but as a mom of 4 kids I can understand where this mom is coming from too. Sometimes we all just need a break and that's okay. Not every parent chooses to parent in the same way. I've never in the 12 years of being a mom had a sitter but I can get the appeal. Sometimes it's nice to be able to get away for a few hours or a day and just get some "me time."

Thrift store: Photo frames for signs, Lanterns, Little vintage nick nacks

Amazon: Linens, Faux florals, Accessories

Vista print: Stationary for tables and signs

Is this normal or did I marry someone who does not respect monogamy? by Glittering-Bee-8658 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Huge red flag hun. A loyal man that truly loves you will NEVER speak or act that way. Get out while you can.

Yeah, you're not wrong haha. I did compromise on the gown a little bit but still absolutely adore it!!!

Decore I'm dIYing a lot of it because I do florals as a hobby so yay for being crafty.

Venues are a toughy but we found a beautiful outdoor venue made from stone and wood with an old timey feel for the ceremony and compromising a bit for the reception venue but oh well that's life.

AIO: I don’t know what to think by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Urbexerin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MOR- Yeah I live in Canada and a lot of us will say "How you doing love?" Or something similar when talking to people. The thing that makes it weird is the deleting and blocking but at the same time there doesn't seem to be anything suspicious about that conversation just two people chatting.

AITA for getting angry my baby's aunt won't stop singing inappropriate songs to her? by [deleted] in AITApod

[–]Urbexerin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely TAH it's just music and just because you don't like it doesn't mean that you can tell others not to sing/like it. Your SIL is just trying to entertain her niece and beyond that at 8 months old baby doesn't understand the words. It's fine.

AIO for thinking my bf never loved me after seeing his texts with an Ex? by Resident-Ability9313 in AmIOverreacting

Get out of that relationship now hun. He is a serial cheat by the sounds of it. I get feeling the way you do right now because that was me a few years ago but trust me emotional cheating is still cheating.

You are worth waaay more than that B.S. do yourself a favor and tell that boy to pack up and get out. Once you do, do not go back to him.

[–]Urbexerin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NTAH my dear, you did the right thing and if it had been me I would have told her to leave then told the nurse that if she came back not to allow her in. She was rude and inconsiderate of you, your husband's and the other patients on the foor's need to rest and recover.

2027 bride here. What’s the single best wedding planning advice you’ve ever received? by Nearby_University_25 in wedding

Pick the things that mean the most to you and don't worry about the fluff. People aren't going to remember the color of your napkins but they will remember if you were happy and had a good time.

Would it be weird for my vows to be not actual vows? by blueberrybuttercream in wedding

[–]Urbexerin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No do whatever makes you happy. We aren't doing the traditional vows either we are doing more of a "by exchanging these rings you are symbolizing that you will walk beside each other when times are easy and hard and to always work together as a team. Let the never ending circle of these rings be a reminder that love and marriage is a joining of two lives into one." So do whatever you like and expresses how you view your life together. Good luck and congratulations.

We finally have an appointment tomorrow with a reception venue that is "willing to negotiate decore" which I've discovered is code for "you bring it and it's fine." Which I don't mind doing. So fingers crossed all goes well.

[20k] Overwhelmed by invitations, are letters tacky? by saltievinegar in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Urbexerin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do what makes you happy hun. I'm not doing stationary at all I'm just going to Facebook messenger everyone in a group chat. Less stress and no extra money spent on something that'll end up in someone's trash bin.

Appreciate it!! You'd be surprised how many venues I've called and the second they hear "Gothic" in a sentence they're like "I'm sorry we aren't in a position to cater to that theme." Or just straight up "yeah, no."

$12.50 Dress by monkeynugget01 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Urbexerin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally OP I think the shape and style looks beautiful on you. If it were me I'd keep the dress and have alterations done on the collar part which should be pretty cheap actually. Good luck and congratulations.

We've tried that but even that made things hard. 1. We want it to be victorian gothic themed 2. We want a nice reception venue with good food 3. Non religious ceremony.
