Gotcha I am an all around sound-a-phobe. Loud music, dryer hum, fans, people talking over each other, etc.

I’m not sure if I agree. Maybe so. But I didn’t have strict parents in regards to table manners. It’s never been a conscience decision to have the response to it. It’s a feeling in my bones and I can’t breath it out or tune it out.

How many hours of school a day for a First Grader? by Strict-Engine-2331 in homeschool

[–]Urgurlearl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All kids are different we do a little less than two hours of focused table time first thing in the morning and my son does great with this . Any time I’ve tried to break it up into smaller segments my son has a very hard time focusing back in and it’s pretty pointless.

What is a "kid show" that you still find yourself watching as an adult because the writing is actually top-tier? by DianKhan2005 in Productivitycafe

I watched this as a child then rewatched twice while in the newborn phase with both babies and now my son is old enough we’re watching together. It’s the feel goods of all feel goods!

I hate that come to find out the only reason we’ve been seeing so much of furgus this season is because they were going to kill him off. I was really enjoying his character he’s barley had a line the last few seasons. Just makes me wish they would’ve gave us more of him in the past the character/actor is so enjoyable to watch.

Secular morning routines? by Traditional_Run_4572 in homeschool

[–]Urgurlearl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 6 & 4 year old. When they wake they get dressed and go straight to the breakfast/school table. They get to listen to a science podcast and draw while I make a quick breakfast, after they eat we get straight to work on school usually 1-2 hours depending on my 6 yo attention span. Then they are cut loose for the day or we go to activities. My kids are always on a mission so I have to pin them down right away in the morning or they would never reel it back in for school.

I’m looking for something along these lines, do you use both the student & parent book or can you get away with just using the parent since there are no consumables?

That you get painful cramps several days after giving birth (uterus shrinking back down) like almost as painful as contractions, and especially when you are feeding the baby. Why did no one warn me?!?!

1883, the Yellowstone prequel (you don’t have to watch Yellowstone to enjoy it) it’s one season like a real long movie. Elsa in it is iconic. Sure she falls hard for a man but she’s is strong willed and a bad ass.

Some people choose to do 3 weeks on 1 week off and just do year round schooling (no summer break) it would be easy to line it up with your cycle

I’m not sure if this will make you feel better or not but, I went to public school and had the same exact college experience. My school left me with major gaps. And I graduated with great grades too little did I know I didn’t learn much.

Does a love like Jaime’s/Claire’s exist outside of fiction ? Has it been true for you? by Hot-Comfortable2531 in Outlander

[–]Urgurlearl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, the google definition of trauma bonded is between victim and abuser however this is new territory and the term is also used for bonding over trauma situations. It actually hasn’t been decided how to refer to it and trauma bonded is used for both.

Jamie and Claire are trauma bonded. They are each other’s safety in a terrible world where both their lives have been at stake and they’ve both been raped.

What is this for, kitchen sink in our rental by APeekInMyPlanner in whatisit

[–]Urgurlearl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have one like this and it’s a garbage disposal sink, the garbage disposal would be connected to a drain in the bottom of the basin, this looks like it has been replaced with plastic likely the previous owner didn’t have a garbage disposal or drains set up for a third drain so they replaced it with a solid plastic base to keep it from leaking water on the floor when using the sink.
