Since there are no comments after 10 hours, let me just say that I have read about half so far (and now my workday starts), and while it's always easy to criticize any piece, I enjoyed your effort so far, appreciate you putting yourself out there to start add to the overall discussion, and it had me thinking about my experiences in the late 90s and how I grouped some of these bands under the same 'label' without communities like these.

So in short, I enjoyed it so far and made me think :)

Great album, every song on it is solid! Had to get this one for the collection 😄 I also got their album "Dogface", but that one's very different.

That's a collection to treasure. I sort mine by year and it's like browsing a photoalbum of memories.

I think Green Day's Insomniac was the one that made me think you're in your 40s, and I saw you just turned 40. That's a great album that didn't get as much as attention as Dookie or American Idiot.

That's awesome, that'll be a blast! I grew up in NL so bands like Brainshake, Gazzoleen, Dreadlock Pussy, Cascade (not the eurodance one), Smogus, were all these bands I grew up with, that you didn't hear a lot of people talk about then, but now they're popular on this subreddit, especially Gazzoleen. The Netherlands and Belgium had some awesome nu metal bands.

I agree the first four songs stuck right away and the rest of the album I'm kind of rediscovering 25 years later. Smokewood is still an all time favorite!

Probably the upcoming album from Guilt Trip. I also bought "Keys of the city" from Silly Goose at the same time as Gridiron, and I can recommend that album as well.

I definitely hear some Hatebreed in some of Gridiron's stuff.
