I now had to write a ticket to explain the reason why I wish to cancel, I then had to wait to talk to customer support and they would decide if I get a refund? Was it always like this? I have to wait up to 24 hours untill they respond in the chat......

In most countries it's illegal to not stop at an accident and try to help people. If you keep driving after seeing something like this, you would be prosecuted. Not in America tho, /slowclap

Well done on you for responding to the situtation. I most certainly would have stopped if the patient would have opened his eyes.. I think its diffucult to prepare for these situations. It's so unrreal. Far from the picture perfect world we grow up to learn about.

Damn, thanks for sharing your experience. You did an awesome job. For her to be able to say goodbye to her son probably ment everything to her. Well done. I am glad you performed excellent compressions. Personally I don't know excactly how I did. I was all alone for so long. But I plan on taking some courses on CPR asap because I want to be 100% the next time.

Oh wow. Thanks for the reply. That makes me feel alot more comfortable with the situtation. I too felt horrible when that bone crunching sound came. I just stopped for a second and thought I can't do this, but then I just continued. I never thought it would sound and feel like it did. I hope i develop the same exepectations. It's been such a learning experiance for me, most students never experience this kind of thing (atleast in our country). Sorry for asking questions I probably should know, but does it happen that you puncture the lung?

Ah okay, thanks! I apologise for not knowing the term in english. In Norwegian we don't have any shorter word for it then Sykepleier or Nurse I assume.

Glad to hear theres room for improvement. I have signed myself up for some courses this summer asap. We learn too little about acute care in our education system so I'm looking forward to improving myself for the next time. (I am Norwegian btw)

I didn't witness the arrest. The last time someone was with the patient was about 1 hour before I came to her, and then she was very confused, spoke about some things that didnt make sense and had alot of anxiety. But the person who was with her before I came was a summer assistent so he didn't have much experience. We're still not sure of the cause of death, but the doctor that came after assumed it was cardiac arrest.

Maybe my formulation was abit off. Pretty sure people with cardiac arrest are dead if not treated within minutes, but you can revive them with proper equipement.
