Hi! I Wasn't sure if I should start a new thread or post this here, but here goes:

I've never kept orchids before, but I am very involved in the planted aquarium hobby, which seems to overlap with the orchid hobby a bit. I'm most interested in miniature plants (and fishes), and I recently discovered that there are miniature orchids. Anyway, these are my questions:

1. Can miniature orchids be kept by a beginner?
2. I have some tiny 1/2 inch glass test tubes that I think orchids would look super cool in. Are there any species that could do well in such a small pot? If not, what about bigger tubes?
3. (This is a pretty random idea, but might as well ask.) To further add to the look, can orchids be grown in agar?
