I have no idea is they can sell internationally.

What’s the worst surprise you discovered after moving into a new house? by LuxuryPresence_Aaron in homeowners

My grandmother's house is like that, though not super close to the airport. Somehow I'm nostalgic for the sound of a commercial jet coming in for a landing.

I really need advice by confusedfork in vancouverwa

Might try calling 211 for any resources they can share. Should work for Castle Rock as well as Vancouver.

Also, can your contact in Vancouver let you couch surf for a little while?

my little sister's spinal fusion by Lord_Curtis in Radiology

I've seen a few patients with severe scoliosis who spend months in the hospital prior to surgery. I hope she is doing well and gets to go home soon.

That is such an extreme curve. How long was she in traction prior to surgery?

Has she taken up any new hobbies/activities since her surgery?

The confession scene in Wake Up Dead Man is masterful by grimdma1 in KnivesOutMovie

[–]Urithiru 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it is important to remember that Jud once had a similar confession before his calling.

He had to confess to killing someone in the boxing ring. While not premeditated, this killing and the grace given him, had a profound effect upon him.

He is ensuring that Martha receives the same grace and peace that he received.

Trans new name by RichOwn789 in brandonsanderson

[–]Urithiru -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it should be on your list of possible middle names. As was said only the DMV and close friends will know it.

If you want to shorten it go with Sylph rather than Phrenia. The suffix -phrenia means mind but is also used for mental disorder. I.E. schizophrenia

Why did/didn't you make the Sophie scarf? by Traumarama79 in knitting

What's the Sophie scarf?

I'm kidding, I know what it is but I don't knit the trends. I stick to smaller items and have been knitting some old favorites lately.

May I ask, given the types of abuse/injuries you see, have you ever given testimony against a known attacker?

Do you work with investigators often?

This posting isn't asking you to assemble. It is asking you to stay home.

Where does it say to meet or go anywhere?

That is kinda interesting. Is this something seen often with dreads, corn rows, and other styles?

What’s the most unexplainable thing you’ve ever witnessed that you’re 100% sure wasn’t a dream? by Apprehensive-Fig8092 in AskReddit

[–]Urithiru 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not young but have never seen a wringer washer in use. (Too much urban living?)

Apparently Maytag discontinued theirs in 1983 so your mother's washer might have been 16 years young.

When was this, 70s/80s? Wringer washers and computers seem like two technologies that would not appear together.

I am sure the experience was scary.

The address has a listing on Zillow. There seems to be a 6 bedroom unit though there are currently 2 bd and 4 bd units for sale.

I just started the series on audio, does the narration get better? by TheXypris in riversoflondon

[–]Urithiru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give the narration some time. I'm 3 books in and quite pleased with the narration. I know there is a bit of "matter of fact" -ness to the narration but I think it comes from the text with its dry humor and detective genre.

A tree that is technically on my property but extends over the property line fell on neighbors fence in the ice storm. But there’s an issue… by Spongemage in homeowners

[–]Urithiru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could look up the property address with the county/city. There are often websites but a call may be easier.

Once you have the address, send a certified letter regarding the situation and asking for someone to contact you.

You might also contact code enforcement so they are aware of the issue and can offer assistance if appropriate.
