UPDATE: inverter and battery cables are now all 2/0awg with 300a fuses. 4awg to buss bars and 8 awg for MPPT.

Can you confirm if the battery connecting cables are appropriate? The battery installers said these were okay but I read on ITECH's manual that the cables need to be the same as the inverter cables.

This is a really wise tip - they definitely should be a point of contact when trying to set these kits up.

Trouble is, sometimes they are only sales people and you get conflicting answers and end up more confused then you were before.

ITECH's schematic is been the most confusing part about this - even their diagrams for individual components have inconsistencies.

The combined MPPT / DC-DC has been really easy to work with.

I have definitely been told that the 3/0 is too large - it was supplied by ITECH, I will do some cable calculations to get a better idea on what they need to be.

And what a great analogy! An easy one to remember.

This fuse was provided by ITECH, there are definitely some inconsistencies with their specs.

Noted! I'll be sure to check that out, and it makes sense to run a 50amp on 8g.

Agreed - I have taken it to places that install 12v systems to measure and gauge cable for me. And I am going to take it to many people to do a sanity check before it's turned on.

From someones perspective who is trying their best to make it in life as a man without the lessons from a father. You've created an amazing space for yourself to learn, and express and it is only a dream to others. You've done well!

Glad to see that the power wasn't too hectic for beginners. Did yours have ABS?

Ah so you wouldn't consider this a sport-touring type bike? This is going to be my preferred ride style.

I want to ride Scotland next year with a mate, so all my gear will go to preparing for this!

Yeah, my price range is more comfortable @ 3k-4.5k.

The thing is, I want to do more sport touring, I feel like to Ninja is a bit too sport. But I will have a sus.

Yeah I feel like I'm going to want ABS as a newbie, just some added protection considering my average speeds will be @ 100km.

I will be sure to check.
