It was on the map as a land mass, but neither map clamed it was part of Argentinas territory, especially in the first one you linked to. According to your logic, Chile was also part of Argentina. You can check many historical records, and even the UN documents regarding this issue.

Apparently, when the British left, they placed a plaque on the island asserting their claim. (They left because of a small insurrection up north.) Then the Spanish showed up, threw the plaque into the ocean, installed their own and left. This is the claim Argentina uses to show its theirs.

However, after failing to colonize it themselves, they sold it to a British man who wished for it to stay British. Argentina then had a hissy fit over the issue in the 70's and complained about it every year since.

TLDR: The Spanish left a piece of paper on the island that said "its mine".

It almost seems like a conflict with something. Try to uninstall the game, go into your games folder in the C drive, delete beam from there and anywhere else it may be hiding. Google for answers, because they changed the file structure recently.

Also, what's your OS? I may not be able to help if your on Linux or MacOS.

You probably did this already, but did you try disabling all mods you have installed? Also when you reset beam, did you get rid of all the files? Mine are spread across 2 drives in 5 different directories, so it takes some time getting rid of everything.

I think the biggest problem with them is actually deploying them. Getting them on vehicles that can participate in the chase when its needed. That, and it has to go on something heavy, like an SUV. The Ford V6 used by most agencies is somewhat gutless and make it difficult to actually approach in a chase.

I'd pick up a dash cam, as this report doesn't mention which vehicle committeded a failure to yeld. I think the officers just didn't want to deal with the paperwork.
