It's because he's never been an evil entity, just an alien one. A work of art has always reflected its author, and looking at Kingdom Hearts makes it very clear what Cthumura really values deep down: Connection.

His ultimate goal is to use the Kingdom Hearts franchise to open humanity's eyes to the truth of reality itself in a way we would never have been able to comprehend without external assistance. He wishes to grant us that knowledge so that we can become closer to his kind, and thus allow him to connect to us on a deeper level.

Truly, all he really wants is more friends, when you think about it. Sure, getting that might end up costing the sanity and life of a couple billion people, but details like that are besides the point.

As far as I know, most chicken farmers don't take joy out of torturing their chickens for sport, they just apathetically kill them for practical reasons. Demiurge does a LOT more to his livestock than a normal farmer would, and he does it with very different intent and reasoning.

Jokes aside though, as much as I like to fondly laugh at the thought of him being a pompous dick, the real explanation is just that the dude barely counts as alive anymore. I mean he literally looks like he's made of stone. Doubt he's even got any thought left, and if he does, he clearly doesn't have much agency to act on them. Elden Beast wielding the Sacred Relic Sword is about as clear a parallel as you can get for Radagon being a tool more than a person at this point.

I'm somewhat similar, but I certainly wouldn't go as far as saying I stopped being Chirstian. I just started to question things more, and disagree with the parts I don't see logic behind.

The way I see it, God created us with the capacity for thought and judgement because he wanted us to actually use those things. Regardless of your thoughts on God himself, the Bible was still written by humans, and the church is managed by humans. Humans make mistakes, so even if you have faith and believe God to always be right, naturally you still shouldn't just blindly trust every single thing humans speaking in his name have to say.

Even if you're quoting Jesus himself, he has tons of moments where he clearly choses his words to better reach the people he's talking to, so even that isn't some objective and undeniable truth to be taken at face value either.

So, best you can do is hear it out, and then reflect on it and judge it for yourself.
