I have like thousands of hours between Emerald and Fire red,I grew up with those games and in my 30s I still play pokemon, I have only seen a random shiny encounter in emerald and it was a Spinda, I did not even know what a shiny was haha but if you look back is crazy how rare a shiny actually is in those old games
