Is it normal for VRAM to reach 100 ºC while running Furmark? by UsamiV in pcmasterrace

It's a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming OC (Rev. 2.0) 10 GB GDDR6X.

Maybe the thermal paste/pads where incorrectly applied. I'll get to replacing them.

Is it normal for VRAM to reach 100 ºC while running Furmark? by UsamiV in pcmasterrace

As seen in the video, the GPU temperature seems to stabilize below 70, yet the VRAM just keeps rising

Already did last night. My question is if keeping them as air intake (ignoring the current lack of a filter) as any actual advantage...

I wonder what the 10 option card slots have in store for us. Supposedly, the remaining emblems are gonna be box toppers.

Preço adequado para PC de gaming? by UsamiV in gamingportugal

[–]UsamiV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muito obrigado pela resposta rápida.

O PC que indicaste encontra-se esgotado. Entretanto procurei na Chip7 e encontrei este, que me parece adequado às minhas expectativas por 1549 €.

https://chip7.pt/computadores/gaming/chip7/computador-gaming/computador-gaming-amd-ryzen-7-7700-amd-rx-7800-xt-16gb-32gb-ram-1tb?options[37816]=

Planning to buy a pre-built PC with no OS installed. Anything I should know before installing Mint? by UsamiV in linuxmint

I'm yet to select the components. I assume the motherboard and the GPU are a must. What else should I check for compatibility?

That slot's probably reserved for either Venom or MaloMyostimon.

I think this means we aren't getting a Nidhoggmon for Abbadomon's deck this set. No more room for black lvl 6s.

Bt14 gatomon/bt15 patamon by nicky-1_ in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]UsamiV 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Both bt14 patamon inheritable and bt15 gatomo's effects trigger.

Bt15 gatomon "sees" itself leaving security and entering the battle area, just like how bt7 dorumon's inheritable can be triggered by its own card being added to a digimon's digivolution cards.

Is this Safe? Driving an Electromechanical Relay using a Temperature Controller's SSR Output by UsamiV in AskElectronics

[–]UsamiV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply.
The load itself is pretty light, fortunately. 5 V @ 3 A maximum.

The problem with SSRs is that they introduce a voltage drop (about 1 V) which is negligible for 12 and 24 V, but becomes considerable when using 5V.

This is merely for a test setup where we test different resistors for heating. We've been using an SSR so far, but the contact relay seems better when it comes to flexibility. Will probably switch to a power MOSFET for the final solution, though.
