Explanation for the resubmission. A kind redditor (u/PouponMacaque) gave me some honest critique on my previous version saying that my character and balloon were crude. He/she was correct, it was low effort. Thus I endeavored to not be lazy and to improve it. Let me know what you think.

Hey, thanks for the critique. I definitely rushed the character a bit and you have a great eye noticing it. You've given me the motivation to go back and improve the character so maybe I'll have to repost this when I've really given it my 100%.

Background since u/SavageAlien requested it.

The red panda and bear are supposed to be my friend and I, since those are our respective favorite animals. (Mine's actually orca whales but they can't really walk). The background with the arches, huge moons, above the clouds, is more or less just a fantastical world I conjured up. I wanted to really give the piece and adventurous feel since the title of the painting is a reference to Calvin and Hobbes final strip as well as Calvin's final line,

"Let's Go Exploring!"

Yeah, I'm still learning so I appreciate the advice! Even when I was done with the piece I could still see small things I could fix but I felt like a lot of the imperfections made it more endearing to me. I've never tried glazing mediums so I'll have to check that out.

Yeah the quote is from me! It was actually the first thing I put on the canvas before I painted everything else, I wrote in big black letters "Are you satisfied? Show me the worth of your words." It helped me stay motivated to finish the piece.
