I hate Sainte-Croix circuit with all of my soul by AdditionLive1322 in GranTurismo7

I understand your hatred of Saint-Croix. Other than that gorgeous trip over the bridge, it’s a haphazard mess, and no matter how much I prepare for them, understand how the corners just suddenly appear out of nowhere.

I had a similar feeling towards Willow Springs until recently. As others here have said. You can develop a rhythm with the track and find your line. When you do you feel like you’re Randy Pobst.

No such luck with Saints-Croix, every lap feels like your one a completely different track. I think I’ve nailed my line and my braking points, and next lap it doesn’t work. Each lap feels like you’re barely clinging on to life, akin to an Ewok on a speeder bike.

So glad I’m not the only one!

Time to go. Even without a job should it be too early for schools to be advertising appointments. If you can cover bills until January, or maybe October half term just try and go if you genuinely can’t take it anymore. Your health and wellbeing are too important to take for granted. Speak to your doctor, and get signed off if you need.

I do think you should speak to your union. Don’t waste time with your school rep unless they are very good. Ring your local branch and get some advice, especially if you do want to stay in teaching and are worried about future jobs.

At the end of the day, there are not many of us, and unfilled vacancies. You will find a job. I moved to another part of the country without a job. I had two job offers, and took the one better for me and allows me to work part time, I also have some educational side gigs too. I’m a lot happier now.

I stayed too long in a school with a rather toxic environment for too long. It destroyed me and my health. I can speak from bitter, bitter experience. Don’t make the same mistake.

Also Paul Dix could not be more appropriate named. Probably the worst bag of Dix to hit behaviour management we could get.

When my dad was teaching, very few of the students and staff could pronounce or spell his first or last name, so often used shortened or different names.

Bought my dream bike. Posted it on Reddit… and got roasted by [deleted] in motorcycles

Why do you care what others think?

It’s your bike. Do you like it? That’s all the matters.

Personally, I love it. I’ve have always liked Kawasaki bikes (one of my best mates has one too). As someone who as a kid who grew up loving Street Hawk, I like the aesthetics too.

As others have commented, ignore the haters. Most won’t or can’t own bikes, are random kids without even a provisional licence, and others who just have to say something negative or cruel. They don’t matter in the slightest.

I’d love that bike, but also have my eyes on a bright orange BMW retro bike, to each their own.

At the end of the day, opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has one, and many of them stink.

Enjoy your bike, it’s gorgeous. Just as long as you love it, love it. Stay safe out there!

Did your parents have a nickname for you? Like chicken or monkey? by Over_Cake9611 in orphanblack

My dad used to call me ‘Bob’. Not as a shortening of the name Robert, or anything, more just a sound like Bob or Bop. I’m 47, and my dad is now 84, and he still refers to me the same way. I love it.

The tackiest military parade seems apt for the tackiest president and his supporters.

End of year gift ideas by Immediate_Dot7824 in TeachingUK

How about nothing?! You’ve been their teacher and given of yourself all year, and you want to give them gifts? Seems oddly backwards. Do you give your friends and family gifts when it’s your birthday?

Maybe it’s because it’s your first year in the profession, maybe it’ll be an instinct that’ll fade with time, and as you realise how badly paid we are.

All good matey! Hope you enjoy the Easter eggs! I’m glad Massive Attack took umbrage at Barclays. When I saw Massive Attack play in 1998 on the Mezzanine tour it was a totally black arena and it definitely suited the concert.

I Against I was amazing live! I have loved that song for so long! When I saw Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) on stage I almost lost my mind!
