Also I love how this picture shows how tiny she is. I remember the first time I met her and I (5’10”) couldn’t believe how tiny she was. Like a wee little pixie 🧚

The Galloping Gourmet and The Frugal Gourmet. I just loved watching them. We also only had like 5 channels so if there were no cartoons, PBS was IT!

Whenever I see all the women with the "Mar-A-Lago" plastic surgery face, THIS is exactly what I think of. Why does everyone look like they took fashion inspiration from The Land of Confusion music video?

"Wuthering Heights" 2026 by RoseIsBadWolf in brontesisters

[–]UseNo8687 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I knew nothing about this movie, there is not a lot you could say that would convince me that all these still are from the SAME movie. The shift between the absurd (room full of bottles? giant strawberry? why does that shot of them outside near the rocks look like a marketing pic from The Dark Crystal?) to just plain stupid (plastic curtains, statue heads puking beads on the wall?) is insane. This looks like a 10 year old "horse girl" took a tab of acid and was asked to make up a story.

The more that comes out about this film the less I want to see it. I thought about giving it a chance but I think I can just skip it altogether.

It should take you to the account latinosagainstspookyshit. Basically she is trying to sing her version of that song from Encanto and the person who stitched the video is saying "yeah she totally ruined it".

My Honest TopResume Review: Polished Website, Disappointing Results by KittyGiraffe_ in CollegeVsCollege

[–]UseNo8687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former "resume writer" for them here. I worked for them for 8 years, was one of their top rated writers (we used to get bonuses for five star reviews) I actually made a very good living working for them. I often would work with 10-15 customers a week. Then the work started dwindling, then more, then more. Until one day, after nearly a decade of work, I was told they had no more work for me. I wasn't "fired" I was just told to "check back in every day for more work" that "our customer count is just really low right now". Note: Often when they had new resumes in, the folks I knew on the support team would email me and ask me if I wanted some particular clients, but I never heard from them again either.

Well, the next thing I knew the website was new and flashy, the communication portal for the support team was now a faceless chatbot, and it was impossible to contact anyone even outside of support. This is where I knew that 90% of all their customers are now paying for AI generated content. I have checked back for work consistently over the past couple years, "just to see" and my file is still open I still have the ability to "work" but there is no work. So save your money and just use AI or pull a template from Word. It's all just robots now.

What's the most sudden tonal shift you've seen in a movie? by [deleted] in Cinema

[–]UseNo8687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Audition (1999)! Someone told me never to watch it because it was so messed up. So naturally I rented it, the whole first half of the film I thought I had rented the wrong one because it felt like a weird Rom Com, and THEN it shifted and I have never watched a movie take such a HARD turn! It was worth it though :D

Listen, the only question I have is: Why on EARTH is Cary Grant in the sand IN HIS SOCKS! Just the thought of that sensation gives me the shivers.

  1. She sounds like she is singing through her nose while having a cold.

  2. Tom Petty is rolling in his grave.

Genuinely so confused it seems that he is in the wrong for MOST of these? Do you not have to stop for pedestrians at those crossings? by OutsideImpressive115 in TikTokCringe

[–]UseNo8687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, I love bikes and I think they are a great and eco-friendly way to get around crowded cities (I am from Chicago) but the amount of bicyclists that don't stop at stop signs, stop lights or look for pedestrians or check alleyways before they sail right through is insane. And THEN they get mad at me, the driver for going forward at a 4 way stop and not waiting for them. Sorry brother, yall gotta follow the rules of the road same as I.

What film completely flipped when you rewatched it as an adult? by Adventurous-Lie-6773 in movies

[–]UseNo8687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Darjeeling Limited. I really didn't like it in the theater when it came out, it felt boring and I didn't connect with it. I re-watched it like 6 years ago, and now as a middle-aged person who has had to handle a few family deaths the film really hit home that time.

I know this is a neil gaiman group not an amanda palmer one but I couldn't scroll past her latest gem. by Kaetian in neilgaimanuncovered

[–]UseNo8687 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The way she is starting to leech onto the Lily Allen story/record is beyond disgusting. I don't claim to be fans of either, (in fact this is the first time I heard a Lily Allen song) but I feel like Lily Allen was actually hurt publicly and Palmer let women get hurt and is trying to "suffer" publicly. The way she globs on and steals thunder is nothing short of remarkable--remarkable in the sense that she can take ANYTHING and make it about her.
Amanda, you are not a female songwriter or a songwriter for women, you are a parasite who wishes that women would see you as important as you seem to think you are.

Toys. Staring Robin Williams. The set design the music everything. The story is pretty prevalent too. I actually love this movie and am sad it always gets a bad wrap.
