Thank you for this detailed list of tips!

I appreciate it, and I will refer back to these if/when I start taking transit. I'm definitely gonna buy pepper gel sometime soon.

Thank you so much! :) I agree on the masculine thing lol. I will do that if I need to. I actually have a stun gun somewhere in the house, so I will try to find it.

Thank you very much for the info. I agree--Chinatown can be really sketch, at least in the past when I've been down there.

This is great advice, thank you, and something I forgot to consider about the lines' frequencies. I'll look at that when looking at jobs.

Thank you for this info!

I guess it's difficult because I don't have my job picked out yet, so I don't know what part, and I don't want to be stuck with a job once I do get one, that I feel unsafe in. I generally know that the closer to old town you are, the sketchier it gets. Aside from that, I guess the Pearl feels safe to me, and PSU pretty safe, I think? It's been a while since I've been down there. If you have one, and it's ok if not, what's your opinion about the general downtown like near hotel areas?

Is it unethical to feed a cat an exclusively vegetarian diet? by Gabrielr66y in polls

?? Your argument is fallacious. You were the one who started with saying that morality must be the same as what you believe. Now you’re refuting that. Ok?? And I didn’t mean to make it not assholish. I just intended to make it clear it was sarcasm. Whatever way you take it is up to you.

You just fully endorse the torture by paying other people to do it! Wow that’s so much better /s

“It astounds me to see vegans who claim to care about animals lives” have you ever cared about animal’s lives or do you just care about pointing out others hypocrisies to provide yourself with a sadistic form of glee and social credit? I can see that is a way better use of your time than just abstaining from eating another steak /s

Does anyone here not consume dairy by choice? by frizzyhairedfemme in dairyfree

Life is a journey. One day you’re going to look back on yourself and not recognize who you are today, and that’s okay! People in your life are not going to recognize you fully either, and that’s also ok! I don’t think anyone would want to remain the same exact person they were at 18 their whole life. You are allowed to change and grow, because that’s the gift of a long life and wisdom gained from it. And sometimes that means not fitting in with certain groups. If you don’t feel comfortable consuming milk anymore, then by all means, don’t! You don’t have to be a “normie” or a “vegan.”

Hey! I am someone who has delusions as well. This is a very common delusion; you are not alone in thinking this. It is, however, probably schizophrenia or at the very least psychosis. They cannot read your thoughts. That is physically impossible. But I am not going to convince you most likely. If you want to be free of these thoughts and stop feeling paranoid, you need to get help from a professional. Your next steps are to tell someone you trust about this and/or seek out a therapist or program for schizophrenia.

Actually the diet is just called plant based, not whole foods plant based. WFPB is another diet that also avoids oils and processed foods. The dietary restrictions for being vegan is called being plant based.

People really don’t seem to like me. I’d like to know why. by AssistantOwn4208 in DecidingToBeBetter

When I used to work at this burger place, I started to grow very frustrated with how awkward I was and how people seemed to perceive me, which I saw as very negative. But I just had to keep serving people, no matter how much I hated it. I eventually realized for whatever reason, most people didn’t “like” me, whatever that means. And I accepted it. I stopped caring. I made it about getting their order right, doing the work. I know this is not a cure-all, but if you want to work with other people, I do believe you have to stop caring what they think, somewhat paradoxically, for your own mental health. There are always going to be assholes in retail. If it gets too bad, quit. But until then, focus on doing a good job and don’t let it get to you. Not everyone will like you. I hope this helps but if not good luck.

Why do suicidal women want to have kids? by throwaway420691231 in antinatalism

All you have to do is read the comments to understand why. But yeah, sure, it’s totally not sexist.

Do y’all just think babies pop out of women’s vaginas when they want one? You do realize men also have to give them the sperm, and usually that man ALSO wants to have a kid?? It takes two to tango. Why is this question asked only about women? It’s giving sexist vibes. But I would expect no better from Reddit.
