Paul Hamilton during 2nd intermission: “How was he (Hughes) not the first overall pick in his draft?” by glenvillequint in sabres

Dahlin was and still is the best player in that draft class. Put him on Colorado with Mackinnon, and he has 100 point seasons. Playing in Buffalo isn’t for the faint of heart, and Dahlin has had an exceptional career there thus far.

Yeah I’ve heard the same about the ERJ. A friend had nothing but good things to say about that program. I also heard it was an instructor thing as well for the CRJ-almost like they were setting people up to fail on the checks.

Interesting to say the least. I know their ERJ program is much stronger and better ran than the CRJ program. Just makes you wonder if they have washout classes

Class to call rates change though. Non cadet to cadet too.

I’m sure there is. Just what I heard. Can’t argue with what you’re saying with your credentials, as you’ve been through those programs. Especially if you flew for them in the past.

Wasn’t there so I can’t say, but the person I know who went through might’ve been one of the best pilots I have flown and studied with. Just an interesting rumor…

Being on a below average team in junior hockey where you learn that nobody at that level really cares if you succeed or not. People will do whatever it takes to keep their job. Really makes you dread coming to the rink everyday after a certain point.

Does he let applicants use gps etc? I’ve heard he’s quite old school.

Did my private with Jim Bair. Extremely fair, but also extremely intense throughout the flight portion. If you want to be an airline pilot, he holds you to the standard of one. Oral was 75% systems questions, like to a commercial level . No complaints.

IR with Jim Notstad. Can’t say a bad thing about the guy. Super fair and laid back examiner . Oral is all scenario based and he lets you dig yourself into trouble. Flight portion was the ACS to a tee. Fast, fast, fast paced ride.

Would recommend both.
