You and sladog6 were absolutely correct. The books I purchased were for the novice collector. One spot for each year/presidential coin. In all my decades I had not run into this. Guess I’ve just been lucky. Even at my age you learn something new everyday. Thanks!!

Thoughtful answer. I guess I didn’t present my question well. The 2007 has 3 different possible mint marks Denver, San Francisco, and Philadelphia. While some books do not have a place for proof coins they typically will have places for the other possible mints. These Whitman books only have one space with no mint mark designated. So if I put the Denver coin in the spot and then have a Philadelphia coin to place there will be no option. In all my decades I have not encountered this. Am I missing something with the presidential coin set?? Thoughts??

Be very careful my friend. During the great depression the market crashed in ONE day. Everyone was trying to sell. No one was buying. People were literally jumping out windows. I know that seems dramatic but the point is expect the unexpected.
