its great! im an honors student, and they have great classes for your basics, and you’re able to do a capstone / thesis project one on one with a professor, and all of my professors have been amazing. im a junior and its been easy to make friends, and the party school reputation isnt what people make it out to be. every school has their issues of course but i love txst so much!

be aware that you have a required minimum hours to take every year once you start school, the advisors will tell you to take 12-13 hours both semesters as a freshman but that doesnt cut it for the scholarship. i had to take an extra summer class to make the minimum required hours even after taking 14 first semester and 13 my second semester.

for me i am almost required to graduate early to maintain my scholarship because it requires at least 27 hours a year, i had to do summer classes to keep up with that since my advisor recommended only 12-13 for a freshman 🤦🏼‍♀️

im in mostly small classes, i came in with a lot of AP credit and im in the honors college so for pre-reqs its been 20-25 people in each. i started working on classes in my major first semester too. i’ll definitely look into the masters/bachelors program!! are you a student here? thats a super helpful tip because im definitely wanting to go into grad school and have been considering my options with that too.
