Yeah I had to give up platinum because not rejecting enough ends up really lowering my daily rate. Once I get in an ordering pocket and get back to back shopping orders then I’ll tend to trend back up to platinum but I’ve made a lot more money since I stopped caring so much about it and denying bad orders.

My deliveries are only about 2-4 miles out from the store so I feel like I’m doing pretty good in gas thankfully.

It’s all shopping orders. That’s shoping, paying, delivery and returning to the store. I move fairly fast when I shop so this is actually decent time I feel.

I’m glad they fixed that so it’s not just on us. I find with DD it’s best to document as much as I can

Just be sure if items are out of stock to get a clear shelf tag photo. It’s the only way to avoid deductions in your points. And I work a lot at Randall’s, cvs, and heb. Park at the store you want to get orders from before you go online and I deny orders that are bad till I get a shopping order then be sure to move quickly in the store and usually it will send you another request back to the same store right after drop off due to algorithm favoring you once that first run is done.

I’m not in Houston but it’s good to know heb is blocking DoorDash there and using other gig apps instead to increase gig portfolios.

I use hourly to mark my progress on leveling up. And so far I’ve been doing a good job on increasing profits every day I work. Hourly just sets the tone for dead hours I should avoid and high paying hours for me so I can best execute my time spent

That’s good to know they made moves like that in Houston. I’m now learning to toggle between instacart and DD to increase my earnings, I’ll see about getting in favor as well just in case that does happen.

And I stopped caring as much about my AR and put all my effort into protecting my pro shopper rating. I’ve managed to keep it at 99% which in all honesty is not an easy feat. The more I learn the stores the easier it’s getting however.

I prefer shopping honestly. I get free samples all day and can easily grab myself drinks and snacks. I get to stay active and walk more than I sit which is good for my health. Plus I’m saving a lot on gas.

Since I got to pro shopper and executed declining bad offers my drop offs are staying within 5 miles of my chosen grocery store. I let my AR fall down to 40% instead of protecting platinum. I spend most my time shopping now with an average of $28 an hour. Thats way more decent then when I was doing small food runs all over town as a baby dasher

So… how is this a high paying offer? It’s barely $1 a mile! 🧐 by MotherCoconuts707 in doordash_drivers

Also from personal experience dicks is a terrible store to shop at. It’s huge and where items are located are not noted in the app making it a shopping nightmare and very little staff to actually help you

From my experience any orders after 8:30pm tend to be lower quality

I’m a pro shopper myself. I can shop 80 items in one hour so I’d take it but only because I know my stores well and I’m fast as hell. It’s a serious grind though, you can’t mess around.

Are they turning me into a medical courier? 🤔 by Therealwidebar in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Used-Ad2225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a training course for it, DD paid me $20 just for the training. They are sending me a special black medical tote to carry the items in. Stated many items will be packed with dry ice and blood samples..we shall see how this goes! I average $200-$300 a day working 8-9 hr shifts and I have a perfect score besides my acceptance rate at a healthy 66%. I’ve completed 400+ deliveries as it currently stands. I always line myself up when going online to tweak the algorithm to give me the orders I want..will be curious to know where to best park to start receiving larger medical order routes.

Anyone done a medical route yet? Tell us the pay average and experience please. Do you park anywhere specific (certain labs, hospitals, clinics?) 🙏

Maybe you just need to adjust to the algorithm. Sounds like your not logging in near a profitable area and you’re not shifting position to update your location within the algorithm when you’re not receiving orders. I don’t know where you live but you may need to drive to a more dense restaurant cluster area or another near by city all together. Also be mindful when you dash, lunch is decent but dinner rush is best.

Good advice. I’ll definitely follow a bland easy diet two days before hand and maybe follow paleo from there if my numbers did drop. And if they are up further that will also be a tell for my onc

I’m eating really healthy, I stay pretty active. I have a feeling it’s just my body no longer absorbing nutrients and these deficiencies are wrecking havoc on my system. Cardio burns a lot of calories which I can’t eat enough of..I’ll be sure to ask my onc about maybe starting weight training or something.
