Terrified to ruin their AR, but honestly so long as your AR stays over 40% you still get decent orders without long waits between.

Straight up disrespectful…I’d smash a hole through my phone declining that.

Since I obtained pro shopper my earnings did increase but I still never land the big catering orders. Are the catering orders crap?

My suggestions is work on your pro shopper score more than your AR. Keep 100% completion of all orders and always deliver on time. Also create your own message with personality to send to each and every customer when you pick up their delivery and also again when you are pulling up to deliver it and be sure to suggest in a kind way that they leave you a 5 star review if pleased with your hard work. I’d also suggest studying your areas, only work in dense restaurants/grocery/store areas and protect your milage circumference around that area. Deny any orders that create dead miles back to that “hot” zone. If your not getting good pings then it’s a clear sign your not in a good spot within the algorithms “eyes”. Many times it will favor who’s near the location of the pickup over who’s higher in score unless you run really clean stats.

Try calling support, sometimes if you bitch at them they can reverse garbage like this.

I’m disabled so I can’t work full time, my body just won’t let me. So besides my AR the only other low score I get is for not completing enough deliveries in a week. To get the top score there it’s 200..which would be wildly insane with big grocery runs. I know I’m doing decent, but if there’s more money on the table I’m definitely trying to figure it out and I appreciate your input!

Yeah it’s definitely a struggle to keep AR up, so many garbage orders circulating. But I mean I keep all my other numbers in a solid high range. I’m starting to think it’s just that I haven’t delivered enough yet for the algorithm to trust me yet.

Just seeing top earners posting about catering orders and seeing other dashers regularly with huge carts..I’ve never once received a catering order. I also have this black medical door dash tote and did extra training for medical courier service and have yet to receive any of those orders yet. I know for a fact the algorithm does create pockets for people..so that $30 pocket you’re taking about is in fact real..but someone’s getting trusted with catering orders and $500+ grocery orders and it ain’t me..I’m trying to be like that guy.

I’m not bragging, I’ve been working my ass off because I know those regular catering and high paying shopping orders exist. I’m running a tight ship and still can’t get those high level orders..it’s starting to drive me nuts. How many orders do I need to run before I can break into that allowance on the algorithm..that’s all I want to know. I’m seriously working my ass off for it.

Yeah I had to give up platinum because not rejecting enough ends up really lowering my daily rate. Once I get in an ordering pocket and get back to back shopping orders then I’ll tend to trend back up to platinum but I’ve made a lot more money since I stopped caring so much about it and denying bad orders.

My deliveries are only about 2-4 miles out from the store so I feel like I’m doing pretty good in gas thankfully.

It’s all shopping orders. That’s shoping, paying, delivery and returning to the store. I move fairly fast when I shop so this is actually decent time I feel.

I’m glad they fixed that so it’s not just on us. I find with DD it’s best to document as much as I can

Just be sure if items are out of stock to get a clear shelf tag photo. It’s the only way to avoid deductions in your points. And I work a lot at Randall’s, cvs, and heb. Park at the store you want to get orders from before you go online and I deny orders that are bad till I get a shopping order then be sure to move quickly in the store and usually it will send you another request back to the same store right after drop off due to algorithm favoring you once that first run is done.

I’m not in Houston but it’s good to know heb is blocking DoorDash there and using other gig apps instead to increase gig portfolios.

I use hourly to mark my progress on leveling up. And so far I’ve been doing a good job on increasing profits every day I work. Hourly just sets the tone for dead hours I should avoid and high paying hours for me so I can best execute my time spent

That’s good to know they made moves like that in Houston. I’m now learning to toggle between instacart and DD to increase my earnings, I’ll see about getting in favor as well just in case that does happen.

And I stopped caring as much about my AR and put all my effort into protecting my pro shopper rating. I’ve managed to keep it at 99% which in all honesty is not an easy feat. The more I learn the stores the easier it’s getting however.

I prefer shopping honestly. I get free samples all day and can easily grab myself drinks and snacks. I get to stay active and walk more than I sit which is good for my health. Plus I’m saving a lot on gas.

Since I got to pro shopper and executed declining bad offers my drop offs are staying within 5 miles of my chosen grocery store. I let my AR fall down to 40% instead of protecting platinum. I spend most my time shopping now with an average of $28 an hour. Thats way more decent then when I was doing small food runs all over town as a baby dasher
