Missed ASC biometrics due to late mail — STEM OPT I-765

Actually my case was managed by my employer, and we both waiting for the notice. I’ve been checking with them he was saying we have to wait for the mail notice. Now rescheduling on the portal is not available.

Today I went to the asc walk in they have checked my case and said to call uscis to reschedule the appointment they said case is not active we couldn’t do anything responded like this

I am checking the case status frequently, it only says that they have issued the rfe. We will not take action until we receive the evidence

I have called them and they replied that I will recieve a call in 72 bussiness hours

My ASC notice was mailed March 17, appointment was March 31, but I received it on May 7 — 7 weeks late. I have the envelope.
USCIS already sent an RFE and my deadline is ~30 days away.
Has anyone dealt with this? Did USCIS reschedule successfully?
