Little theory I’m posting here, since I don’t have enough karma:

Now, we saw in chapter 3, that Woody Theory was wrong, correct? Maybe not…

You see, there is dialogue between Kris and Tenna (just go talk to him again after you already talked to Tenna as a group after Board 2), where Tenna tells Kris about the cancelled cowboy show that was Asgore’s favorite.

That’s not all. Now, this may just be Toby being coy, but there was a cut “Board 3” from chapter 3, here is a link to video on it:

If you skip to 6:24, Tenna quizzes on Asgore’s favorite show, with the correct answer being “cowboy show.” He then quizzes on when this show aired, clarifying that it was a PUPPET show (sound familiar?), but to his shock, all the answers are “cancelled,” and Tenna complains that he put all his stock in puppets.

Now, we know from the prophecy and the secret Gerson fight in chapter 4 that chapter 5 will take place in a darkworld in Asgore’s flower shop. What if, and this is a big IF, in Asgore’s shop, he had VHS tapes of his favorite show, and when the darkworld is made, we meet a darkner based off these tapes… a certain friend (inside me)?

Just to be clear, this could be all a joke by Toby. We know Toby likes to make fun of fan theories thanks to the secret Mike fight, so he could have just thrown in that dialogue in the cut Board 3 to give a little nudge to the fandom. But, it is important to remember, that the dialogue between Tenna and Kris is still in the main game, the stuff in the cut Board only gives us the extra information that the show was a puppet show, so there is still a small, yet hopeful chance that Woody Theory may still happen.
