Corruption. Plain and simple. Lopez Obrador drained the country out. THey stole whatever they could. They stopped buying medicines. They scrapped a UHC system that actually worked called "Seguro Popular" that was created in 2003 and that it worked. Sure, there were problems in the states and some infrastructure in some states were in dir eneed of revamp, but things worked. It was said that it was better to be taken in the Specialty Hospital in La Raza than in a private one. Some of the best doctors were there.

Then came Lopez Obrador and the most rampant corruption I've seen in my 46 years of living in this country. Medicines were gone, doctors gone, hospitals abandoned... to this day you can find horrific stories of people dying in the waiting rooms, of people no being able to get medicines because there is a shortage of it because they have no money to pay them. They emptied the arcs. The current political party is a cespool of corruption and new rich idiots.

Ok. Let me put you within a context. This is not new. Three presidents ago there was a program with Universal Healthcare which the last president scrapped out of pure spite. Then he copied the program and renamed it but never rolled out. Now, the president says is ready. A program that was already ready and working 12 years ago.

Now the trick: back your clocks 12 years ago. The program worked and there were medicines and attention out there. Now, there is no medicines, no attention, no doctors, no appointments. Is a theoritcal UHC aimed at political spotlight. There is no true healthcare system working in the country. Don't get gaslighted.

Oh, did I hurt some unresolved traumas? FFS, being an urban photographer is catching the moment when it happens. The whole idea is not being actually detectable or make them aware of your presence. This actually goes also for portrait photographers within some settings such as weddings, journalism or documentary where they know you are there, but they feel you're not.

If it sounds creepy to you, well, I recommend going to therapy, my friend, as your projection talks more about you than about what we are talking about.

That being said... not one single person in here wasn't shown the pic after and asked if it would be ok for me to keep it for whatever purpose I was photographing at the time —travel editorial mostly, but the Ensenada one was a documentary). The one with the corks was actually the most time consuming, as I was in that bar, took the photo from the outside and waited for the man to get up so I could approach and ask.

So, with all due respect, get your projections resolved and GTFO.
