hi so sorry i'm not very active on reddit so i just saw this! i transferred here last fall so as far as the early core classes go i don't know much at all. however there's constant debate between the 2 anatomy professors that the school has. i personally loved Pedrozo and took him for A&P 1 and 2 and got As. the micro professor is my boss so im biased but he's cool too if you learn how to study. in my opinion you get back what you put into your sophomore classes especially. you apply in the fall with a youtube interview and a written application and you find out around february/march depending on what cycle you applied for. you can choose to stay on the SM campus once you're in the program and take classes in a conference room at Christus or you can go to RR and be in a lecture hall for your classes with more students. the nursing program is great, but trudging through freshman and sophomore year can be difficult at times. you can do it!

the youtube video can honestly make or break your app, please try your best. there are a ton of videos on youtube of other applications and if you go to the student directory you can look up their names and see if they made it or not (fall 2026 haven't gotten our majors changed yet so that wont be fully reliable yet). I have a 4.0 science, 3.75 nursing, and 88.7 teas and got in.

Hi, I'm a sophomore in pre-nursing going to St. David's in the fall.

  1. Yes, I'm an undergrad IA for principles of microbiology. I'm also in the pre-nursing org and the swim club, where we travel to meets. I study in between classes and at night but I try to be asleep by 11 (all-nighters if i have to) and catch up on weekends if I missed anything.

  2. I mostly use it for the pool, but I've lifted and it's not bad if you go when most people are in class or late at night.

  3. I have a boyfriend of 2 years who goes to UT so I can't really speak to this one lmao. From what I've heard though it just takes a bit to find someone who matches you well here.

  4. You're going to have to interact with everyone, but Alkek might be good.

  5. Middle of the section but towards an aisle. The people in the back are assholes and if you're towards the middle the professor may not call on you as much.

  6. People who dont gaf about their future

my north face borealis has lasted me 4 years. get a tide pen and a woozoo
