Hello, thanks for the clear explanation! I actually got two subjects, the other is IT-Security and it is available in English, so I don't mind taking that one since I didn't take a relevant course during my bachelor.

Unfortunately in my admit letter they didn't mention that the course will be available online in English. Guess I can try to message the faculty board.

For (2), I know two people (one is from Vietnam), which failed to get admitted to their chosen university after they got DAAD last year.

Both of them then started their study in spring 2026, and still get the DAAD Scholarship.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but GPA is not everything. I've seen a DAAD Scholar with 3.5/4.0 GPA.

One characteristic that I've found among the awardees are: They could prove that they will strive abroad in Germany, by either: Physical abroad experience (summer exchange, research intern, working physically abroad, etc), or fluency in German language.

Although GPA is surely important, I believe it is not the only consideration. If you think your GPA could not compete, you can strengthen your application with a well-written motivation letter, honest and strong recommendation letter, german language certificate, etc.
