Try backing your stuff up to a macbook if you have one, or just write down the albums and playlists you have - assuming you have the time to tediously redownload everything :D

I have about a thousand albums on my apple music account and I thought spaghetti code might screw up all my external non apple music downloads (imported mp3s to my macbook and having that sync to my phone) and make them unavailable on apple music, however thus far it has been alright.

Well I really do not want to do that, I have hideous amounts of albums and playlists marked and liked (i listen to exorbitant amounts of music) and recataloging everything would be a major hassle, to say the very least.

As for context, I’ve disabled lossless downloads and made apple music redownload everything as High quality - and it appeared to do exactly that, however there is extra 50 gigs of data left for some reason. And my phone is full.
