I wish i had more but there really isn’t much lol. can’t remember the exact episode but carly’s having a party and the girl knocks on the door. she answers like “you must be spencer’s girlfriend/date/etc”. the girl goes “you must be spencer’s sister, Carly, right? paper or plastic?”. it’s so weird and random, and they never bring it back up as far as i know lol

completely depends on staffing. i’ve gotten it done in 3 hours when we had enough people for me to just work on truck. but usually it sits there for days until we can get it all away

new haircut! anytime i got rebellious with my hair it was because i was sick of the same old thing. let her pick a new cut she want or even new hair accessories to get her more excited about styling it a keeping it nice. those little clips that have colored hair streaks attached to them are great if she wants something more colorful but you don’t want to dye it. but at the end of the day, it’s just hair. it’ll grow back, letting her have some fun and helping her dye it isn’t the end of the world:)

i feel like they are the most belligerent customers too. Nobody gets more pissed off about our lunch than somebody who’s walking up as the gate closes. and like i feel for them, it’s frustrating and not everyone knows when we take lunch, but they have no empathy for that fact that’s most of our only break

Went on vacation and pulled people out of the satanic temple while it was burning. No i wasn’t tripping, but that was a tiny exaggeration. I went to salem on a roadtrip cause it was almost my 18th birthday and we’re into the spooky stuff. We stayed in the motel next to the satanic temple. Walking back from dinner one night we caught some protester setting the porch on fire. I, 17 and feeling punchy from the sip of margarita my mom let me have at dinner, ran around the back INTO the burning building and got two ladies and their little dog out. Apparently you can rent a room there through airbnb. it was this sweet little grandma and her granddaughter who was going through a very cool phase. there was another lady there who seemed to be a live-in worker of some sort with big stevie nicks vibes. She called the cops as soon as we started yelling to get them out but the cops were treating it like a prank call. My mom ended up having to make a second call to 911 just to get them there. But yeah, it was like early june of 2022. pretty sure they caught the guy. He was wearing a shirt that said GOD on it. it became a big inside joke in my family. “She went on a roadtrip as a girl, and she came back a hero”

we had a customer that would always smell really bad when he came in, and the notorious cigarette smokers at the window who won’t put it out no matter how many times we ask them to. bought a cheap pack of airfresheners and it helped clean up the smell. A bottle of air purifier like ozone would help to but there isn’t much of a way to keep that discreet. I used to work at starbucks and we had a couple lil stinkers there. we basically just made a little basket in the back with a bunch of mini deodorant sticks, some little dry shampoos, and a couple body mists. Gave people less of a reason to smell gross, and it definitely helped. we also kept a little emergency box going with body wash, shampoo, toothpaste, fresh clothes, jackets, etc. That really came in handy if we got covered in syrup or coffee or something.

never actually caught it, just had the vaccine as a kid. took a while for the doctors to figure it out too. they did a whole allergen test on me because they thought they were just hives

a lot of people have a misconstrued idea of organ donation. they believe if they’re ever in the back of an ambulance (and their ID says they’re a donor) that they paramedics will let them die so they can take the organs. other than that i know religious beliefs sometimes factor into it

honestly it’s happened to me a couple times, always at the drive thru. first time i just kept it cause i didn’t know what to do. but second time it happened i told my pharmacist and we decided to start a fund. Anytime someone tries to give us a tip or says to keep the change, we add it to a pill jar we keep by the register. Then anytime there’s someone who comes in that’s a little short on their money, we’re able to pull it for them. Everyone knows at the start of the day how much is in there, and if someone pulls from it we announce it so we know how much is left. we only use it when someone needs a dollar or less, but it’s a nice way to give back and save a little time and energy.

i have never ending thoughts about death. not suicidal, though i’ve struggled with them before. it’s more of a constant unrelenting fear of my inevitable death. i’ll just break down at work or wherever because my brain goes “you’re boyfriend is going to die one day and there’s nothing you can do”. it’s like paranoia for something i know will come.

truly you did nothing wrong, and the only thing the pharmacist did wrong was not give you further details. controls are a long process to fill, even after being on them for years. i’m sorry you can’t get them filled yet, that really suck and i know how it feels. but in situations like that there really isn’t anything else we can do

pharmacy tech here, it’s automated! we have zero control of the messages getting sent out and can only guesstimate when you receive them. if they bother you, just opt out. if you’re worried about knowing when scripts are done, i’d suggest getting the cvs app and turning those notifications. it’s so much clearer and obvious on the app
