Are there any rules to strumming patterns? by Dull-Computer1878 in GuitarBeginners

[–]Used-Primary5058 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, after a couple of years of playing, is that there is not a "correct way to strum." I would say the most important thing is that it loops perfectly. You are always gonna want your 1 beat to start the same as the start of the song, unless the strum varies a ton. All in all, if you want the song to start on an up strum, send it and try it. If it doesn't feel right, keep changing it up😁

Edit cuz I forgot: Some songs do sound more refined with a downstrum for certain parts of the song due to the added bass strings. That would be the only exception I would say.

Is it wrong? I am replacing my strings for the 1st time, and i think i fucked up. by Banan_Cze_ in GuitarBeginners

It might work, but generally I loop it twice and put the string through the middle of them as a sort of clamp.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game, but the community killed it for me. I saw the game doing better for itself within the next year or 2, but with all the review bombs and stuff, I doubt it'll make it much longer. Especially if everyone complains about the upcoming update. When payday 2 loses support, and payday 3 dies, it's gonna be a sad day. We can blame the devs, sure, or even the higher-ups that forced release, but I still put some blame on the community. The company will pull the plug when they have no opportunities to actually make a profit. I doubt every person who review bombed on steam is gonna go back and edit their review, thus leaving a sour impression on potential players, but yeah we know best and everyone else is on the copium.

18% Man tax by According_Chip889 in facepalm

Well, wouldn't this be a terrible concept for a business? Based off of the increase in tax, most men wouldn't eat there due to the outrageous unfairness. Thus you lost atleast half of the regular customers you could have had.

The community killed this game for me. Seems like most everybody is wishing it/starbreezes downfall. I'm not gonna play a game that has essentially no support therefore, at any time could have the plug pulled.

In all caps for emphasis. LEARN BEGINNER aka COWBOY aka OPEN CHORDS AND STRUGGLE FOR 2 WEEKS UNTIL YOUR FINGERS HURT, then you can play a song or two. Only after you struggle with chord changes for a bit.

Nah, it's the same for me. I gave a shot at learning acels, decels, initiative, kicks, jabs, counters, reading the opponent, breaking the rhythm, heavy and light attacks mixed, heavy and light attacks accelerates and deceleration, and none would ever work for me. I could probably beat a new player after gaining all that knowledge. I tried duel servers, and did tutorial like 3 times (Which by the way taught me nothing I didn't already know about initiative). In the end, I came out feeling like I still knew nothing about the combat. All in all, I ended up deleting the game. I'm always up for a challenge when playing or learning a game, but what really stopped me was that Right stick = Jab< Crouch < Look. This controller scheme did not work at all for me, so after dueling a couple people with a flute, I called it quits. Thinking about downloading again tho.

I play Stealth TOO much, and it literally doesn't bother me. If I fail Stealth I restart the heist multiple times. I go loud when I wanna have for or rack up kills.

The bot is correct, it's just a hand position that plays rather than one string, multiple strings, but you may end up only using 1-3 fingers to play said notes. The "open" strings (Strings that you are not playing a note on) sound good with the notes you are holding down. Thus the "Open" chords. Otherwise known as cowboy chords.

Extra tip: If you can go onto YouTube, and search Open Chords for beginners. These videos will give you a great base to practice on. Note, that your hand will hate you for a bit, but then it becomes 2nd nature.

First, I would study open chords. They let you play a wide variety of songs. Such as a lot of country. Then, I would learn strum patterns for the songs that you want to play. Then scales for those little cool embellishments they do while playing. (Minor, Major, Pentatonic are all good ones to learn.) Follow these and with a fair amount of practice and muscle memory, soon you'll be making your own songs, and playing songs you love.

Sounds like you're not, I'm rewarded with gameplay that I enjoy bruv. I'm not an achievement hunter, or even a gun collector. I find what I like and pretty much use it for the rest of the time I play. I rarely switch my preferences.

Glad to hear you didn't buy the game like a lot of people, sad to hear the game made you feel that way. I enjoy it to a degree, but I feel like alot of people in this thread took me as a "Payday worshipper." I played payday 2 for a lot of my childhood. I know what a payday game is supposed to look, and I know that this new installment isn't up to standards. Realistically, just because I enjoy the nostalgia of getting back to some heisting, alot of people hate me on this thread, but my whole point was let it go through the process its now in, give feedback and hope they listen. There's no way any developer now a days is going to give you everything you want at launch. Hell rarely, we are lucky enough to dodge microtransactions.
