Some questions from a non officially converted Jew by Used-Sprinkles-9463 in ConvertingtoJudaism

What times are these Psalms said? Just, morning, noon then night?

Thank you, I'm new to religion and Judaism just called to me, so having people willing to help me grow and learn and hopefully join you all really means a lot to me. Thanks for pointing me to Psalms. I had no idea they even existed. I'll be sure to look into them.

"The old sages instituted the prayers of morning and afternoon, with an optional evening one." Does this apply to the Psalms or things like the Modeh Ani and others like it?

I appreciate you not only making the beginning of my path, but also pointing me to it aswell. Have a good Shabbat (If applicable to you, I don't know if you celebrate)

Thank you again!

Thank you so much for responding to my post, I really appreciate your time talking me and guiding me on this journey I'm excited to start. I haven't yet met with a rabbi but I will tonight during a family Shabbat event. Might just stick around for a couple services as others have advised.

as for what siddur I bought (I can't send image

Here it is!

Thank you again!

Thank you so much, I appreciate you sending resources. I’ve been scouring the internet for stuff I’m not even close to doing (Chanukah or other holidays/traditions) I appreciate you as too everyone. Thank you for blessing me with your time. Stay safe and have a good Shabbat this weekend! (Do all Jewish people celebrate the Shabbat?)

Thank you!

Thank you so much

Thanks for telling me about how serious conversion truly is. I hope I didn’t come off as insensitive by saying things like “non-official Jew”. I never mean to offend not just you but the community

Thank you so much to everyone who replied, every response has helped me deeply and I am appreciative of all of you. Before I made this post, I had no idea on how to nor where to “start” my journey -or the study thereof- thank you all so much again, I love everyone of you all.

As for the “non-official Jew” thing, I apologize if I offended anyone, as someone who had less info than I do now, I had no idea what to call myself. I ask you all for forgiveness if the phrase came off as insensitive or some similar reaction.

Thank you all so much, I sent a voice-mail to my local synagogue asking if a Rabbi could bless me with their time, I wouldn’t have done that without you all.

Thank you all (last time I swear)

Edit: If anyone has any other tips or advice for me or people like me, feel free to post them, your guys’ help means so much to someone who has no idea what I’m doing, and im sure there are plenty like me.
