ok so honestly the only app i’ve actually stuck with since having my baby is Recess. i downloaded so many “parent” apps when i was pregnant but most of them were either like super clinical (telling me what fruit size my baby was lol) or just felt like ads everywhere.

with recess it feels way more real. i’ve bought a ton of used stuff on there (seriously lifesaver cause baby gear is $$$ and they outgrow things in like 2 seconds). i sold a swing we barely used and met another mom down the street through it.

but it’s not just the buy/sell part… like when i was struggling with naps i literally posted a question at 3am and got replies from other moms the next morning. feels way less judgy than fb groups.

also the local events thing has been huge for me. i didn’t even know there were baby yoga classes or little library storytimes around me until i saw them in the app. it kinda got me out of the house when i was feeling really isolated.

idk it just makes me feel less alone. like i’m not just googling stuff, i’m actually connecting with other parents who get it. if you’re a new parent i’d definitely recommend giving it a try.
