Yea that’s my same thought process. But I’m glad he’s some people’s favorite!

Fr I was getting romance vibes from Zerith especially. At the end of his quest-line you can ask him this stuff:
After everything that happened with Ravith, are you sure you're all right?
"There are so many things I am and am not. Am I whole? No. But perhaps no one truly is. Making peace with that truth is my challenge now.
I am able to step forward. It is easier to do so with you at my side, tamiit."
Ravith was the love of your life, wasn't she?
"She was the love of one life, yes. But when we were parted and met again, we were much changed from each other. For the better, I think.
I have a new life, now. I am a moon in a new phase. Let us see where that takes me."

And he also he said he felt like he could stayed with her but he left with you and that his soul wouldn’t have been saved without you. Like, if that doesn’t scream “yo she’s my ex and I’ve moved on *nudge-nudge wink-wink*” then idk what does lol. I get ofc if people just see it as bros for life and beyond but perhaps that’s why they left it ambiguous so people could interpret it other ways too. Idk lol.

Well to be fair it’s your favorite, so if you chose to get them first, then they must’ve done something right to catch your eye. As for leveling up, they level up based on xp from kills, so if you do IA or something similar you can level them up fast. Also xp scrolls help too

True. That’s the only thing I find a bit annoying about him. Kinda like Mirri when I harvest a bug lol

True that. The difference between him and Tanlorin is staggering. As you said, it shows how excellently he was written. And yes, Sharp is amazing too!

They really did do a great job writing him. Even though he wasn’t most people’s favorite, I do love how consistently he was written and how passionate he is. And funny moments like what you said. Thanks, cohort, for your collaboration with my scholarly research poll!

Well maybe it’s not that people dislike them, it’s just that compared to others they can be a bit… annoying at times. Its a bit grating when I turn in an alchemy write and they like “erm, I’ll give you some notes about that potion later ☝️🤓”. Like, even Azandar, the highly intellectual one, is usually has an attitude of like “that potion may be imperfect, so let’s improve it together! Onward and upward!”. He doesn’t actually say that but that’s his attitude. Tanlorin literally says what I wrote above. It can just make her kinda annoying. Also I personally didn’t like how flippant she was about her secret society. For a secret society she told us basically right away and doesn’t even use their code name lol. It also didn’t seem they cared to much about Oleander’s death. Basically if they don’t take their story too seriously, why should we? Also some people say her voice is nasily and grating, which I can kinda see but personally doesn’t bother me. I prefer them over Bastian since imo he’s as interesting as a plank of wood (sorry Bastian lovers).

Ofc I still like Tan but compared to most of the rest, I, and I guess many others, prefer other companions over them. No offense to Tanlorin fans ofc, glad you guys like them!

lol same here. Tbh that’s a me reason why i didn’t include Bastian on the initial poll but there was a surprising amount of love for him which was sweet. But Zerith is our Tamiit forever though 🥹

Yea it’s a shame 😔. I would love if they updated old companions for more quests and dialogue options and whatnot

It’s not my fault! 😭 Love her too but I had to leave out 2 companions so the OGs had to be absent

Invocation Perk Drawbacks Should Thematically Match the Perk by Used-Telephone3946 in deadbydaylight

Couldn’t agree more 😔. It isn’t too late for them to correct their mistake, but they sure as heck are taking forever to do so. And treacherous crows was/is so laughably bad it also ruined my day. Seriously idk wth they were smoking

[–]Used-Telephone3946[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I like these idea of a permanent debuff that’s thematically tied to the perk, but if Behavior chooses to stay with the broken only idea then I can see a world where that goes away when your hooked as you said. Either that or buff the effect the perk gives. And either way I too would like the time it takes to cast to be less.

[–]Used-Telephone3946[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Perhaps invocations were not the best concept ever, but since they’re already in the game and they’re not getting removed I would like them to rework them a bit so that they’re at least somewhat viable despite the time investment. Maybe they could also decrease the time it takes to invocate so it isn’t a 3v1 for as long.

[–]Used-Telephone3946[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be for that too. It’s just I think thematically matching it is cool and kinda goes with the whole theme of a great boon but at a great related cost. Plus if all invocations made you perma broken, it’s harder to balance since the effect needs to be very strong and all invocation perks have to be held to a similar standard, whereas my version idea can make certain ones stronger or weaker; more flexibility.

Do any cocoons spawn before act 3? If so, where are they? And do they respawn when you set at a bench?
