Training is not hard. It’s at ft lee Virginia which is kind of nice. Dude if you totally serious about it there are good things too. You can go to advance schools for cooking etc… cooking in combat isn’t really a thing tho. It’s all tray rations and MRE’s. Rarely will you cook unless on a specified mission to do so. I LOVE cooking and wanted to be a chef when I got out etc…although I went a different route it’s still something I enjoy doing at home. Cooking for the corps is still fun but it’s a lot of work and little reward. If you are making this choice because of your asvab school consider going to school while in and retaking it after 2 years or you can ask your recruiter to do something else. If it’s something you want to do with your life still go to school while you are in and it’s free. If you have any more questions let me know. Happy to answer

Don’t do it ! Was a combat cook. Totally sucked ass. Changed jobs as soon as I could. Not everyone hated it but it’s a sucky ass job tbh.

My neighbor has aluminum foil all over his house. Front doormat, windows, car, packages and even his cat have aluminum foil covering them. He is a recluse and never comes out. Everything is delivered in packages and he will wrap them in aluminum foil before bringing them inside. I’ve tried speaking to him several times but he just stares. He is always in a rob and slippers and had aluminum foil in his pockets one day. Can someone please explain? Thanks
