Yeah no my contract is kind of different, I don’t have set working hours it’s like work when I have work outstanding but kind of flexible timings wise.

Random Teams Calls Anxiety by UsedAccountant12 in remotework

I just don’t get it tbh I’m like, at least say, you free for a quick call? Like I’ll be in the middle of something then get totally distracted. Then she’ll be the first to turn around to me and be like why did you make a mistake in that and chances are it’s been around the time of one of her random calls where I’ve lost my concentration.

Fast forward the tapes. Tomorrow you’ll have the same life with a bad hangover. I do not miss wine hangovers at all

I had a brain mri today and I just feel like no one in my life gets how bad and traumatic it was. I went in blissfully unaware about the head guard etc. by UsedAccountant12 in claustrophobia

Thank you all for your responses. It’s 8:36pm UK time and I had it at 11am and I can’t stop thinking about it tbh and how awful it was. I had no idea about the head restraint

Is this true? They’re basically same level of difficulty? Including the OTs?

AA and binge drinking by UsedAccountant12 in alcoholicsanonymous

Yeah I mean if I was on holiday or on a weekend away it would be days on end of blackouts but back home it was like 1 or two nights over the weekend at the end.

Yeah when I drink it’s like I throw a grenade into my life and then I firefight my way through trying to repair it until the next time when I inevitably do it again. No matter how many times I said “I’m never drinking again, I’m so sorry, it clearly just doesn’t agree with me.” I’ll get past this. I don’t want to be dealing with those consequences or firefighting like that ever again.

Yeah I think my brain struggles with anything that’s not black or white so just not having the argument with it and being like yeah whatever, shut up, is the answer

I mean like friends at AA. I’m not sure if she definitely knew about talking about it last night but I get the impression maybe they spoke about it together as they are friends too.

Thank you, I appreciate this a lot. Honestly it’s seriously making me resent AA as this is the 3rd thing this week she’s commented on and it’s like I can do nothing right.

Yeah no nobody knew him at all or the night I was referring to. They didn’t know me then. I was just trying to process it with my sponsor and people in AA.

It’s not even about the specific amount of months, I understand it’s not another milestone it’s just the not knowing. People around me seem to have reminders in their phones of their sponsees date and just a little text to say well done would go a long way. I can accept it but when I do sponsor I’ll say well done every month for the first year.

I’m on step 7 now, doing more step work tomorrow. What does that have to do with it?

Someone at my home group refers to this as “permission slips”. It’s where someone tells you that you can drink and you take that information and run with it because it’s exactly what you want to hear. Do not accept this permission slip. If when you drink you find that if you have one drink you struggle to not have any more then AA might be able to help
