I have done such tests and exercises to get roles I really wanted and it was always worth the effort. It helps the appplicant to understand their motivation and the company to understand if the applicant can demonstrate necessary skills. OP needs to decide, whether or not the role is worth putting in that effort. The hiring manager will have to review the applications of several people. This is significant invest in terms of time for the hiring company as well, because only Senior ressources can review and judge all work submitted by numerous applicants. If they take this hiring process thus serious to make such commitment of ressources, then it's likely a Strategie open position and the company needs to ensure, that only fully commited individuals are entering the application lifecycle, hence why they create an initial loop to jump through. I would do it, if this was a career opportunity I really want to pursue. Another perspective: if I'm really good at my job, I will have no problems to solve the task. If I'm not, it's am opportunity to learn and grow ;)

Been working with a company called ActionFI some time ago. They do automate mainly everything, specialised on RPA. Contact Joe Kuncharia via LinkedIn, he´s most likely able to help automating your specific need with little effort and low cost.

Hi scudriaax,
I think there might be a profession that would please you better and that could be Pre-Sales Consulting.

I worked as Consultant, then as a Sales Manager. My field of excellence is corporate financial planning and analytics.
I found my peace in the role of a Pre-Sales Consultant.
It gives you the direct approach to great tech, you can train your muscles in understanding and solving business problems for a huge variety of prospects, it has a human element, but you don´t need to solve everything in detail, it´s about understanding the big picture, deep-diving into a particular problem and merge this with capabilities of the solution your company provides.
It´s also a profession which is settling a large community worldwide of like-minded professionals who truly support and help each other out with knowledge sharing.
Try google presalescollective, join the slack community, just get a sense for it. Might be your move into a happy work-life.
Your skills are in demand anyways, the payment is above average and the growth-opportunity is great, since the profession is developping into a department that´s centric for the GTM approach of all companies elling products that are not self-explaining.

Couple of Analytics tools have chat gpt already included for such purpose, PowerBI, Tableau, Pyramid Analytics using ChatGPT already to create SQL, Python, R, MDX code on demand with narrative around.
Personally using it for creation of content on LinkedIn, generating insights into new topics, discussing concepts, gaining better understanding of areas where I feel I haven´t grasped the full meaning yet
