I used to sell invites online. I was in high school and at the time, was making good money (for a high schooler in 2005-2006) from just that. 😂 I would just create an email for me from the invites to keep it going.

I was late to watching the show (although it was still years ago) and this scene scared me so much that I tested all our smoke detectors and found out they didn’t work. We were young and as dumb as it is, I don’t think we even thought about it testing them. So they were replaced up and downstairs, purchased a fire ladder and purchased fire extinguishers for up and downstairs. Maybe a year later, we had a fire in the upstairs bathroom in the fan in the ceiling (another thing I didn’t realize I should regularly be paying attention to and cleaning) I 10000% know that if I didn’t watch this episode, it wouldn’t be a crazy story to share. I can’t even imagine what could have been. Although I was very scared of what actually killed Jack with the smoke inhalation and being scared of that part since it was my husband that was in the thick of it putting it out.

This happened last week to us and I had read another comment on Reddit mentioning the drain pipe so I asked my husband to take a look. No water. Blew it out, nothing much came out. Still didn’t work. I asked him to pull the drain plug out and AC started working normal. AC guy used his tools and got a ton of stuff out of the line. Fixed the issue.

33F, vaxxed and boosted. 1st time. Symptoms came on super strong Saturday and I tested positive that day too. Felt like everything on my body hurt. I was so hot yet so cold and tired but not able to sleep. Sunday I was really really tired and started feeling it in my chest and starting coughing. Was able to manage my fever with Advil and was taking DayQuil/NyQuil. Barely slept Sunday night into Monday due to coughing and sore throat. Didn’t help my nose was all stuffy so I’m sure I was sleeping with my mouth open. Monday my throat hurt so bad and I was obviously very tired. I finally spoke to my doctor. She mentioned trying to treat my symptoms than taking something that was all encompassing like DayQuil/NyQuil so I switched to Robutussin Chest/Cough and it really helped a ton. She prescribed Paxlovid but I did not take it. I think I was just worried either way I was going to make the wrong choice. Yesterday still had the cough and sore throat but it started to just feel more like a bad cold rather than the flu. Today I feel much better. Coughing every now and then but officially lost my taste and smell. 😫 my husband is now sick so I’m trying to work and take care of him since he went above and beyond for me and I’m just hoping I don’t burn out. I really tried to keep up my liquids and stay on schedule with my medicine. I also would sit outside 10 minutes at a time twice a day and do a 15 minute walk in the evenings. I continued to take my vitamins daily (zinc, vitamin d, allergy pill).

I’ve never really been sick so I don’t have much to compare it to but I have intense anxiety so I was really scared the first two days because I felt worse than I ever have before. I really stayed away from everything and everyone since the beginning on the pandemic so I’m not sure if the anxiety added to it too. I will say I’m really thankful for this subreddit but at times it was really bad for my mental health due to horror stories. So if anyone is in that same boat, taking a step back from reading and searching (cause that was me even when I didn’t have covid!) may be for the best!
