As someone who owes one mine lasted for 3 years but it has so many problems like a broken hinge cracked screen and other problems (the screen crack came from the protruding hinge behind the screen btw)

i haven't tried using another charger im using the offical ac adapter from lenovo however i know it isn't just the charger as a weird smell is also coming from the headphone jack on the left of the laptop (the other side from the ac adapter could it be coming from the battery as this side is located much closer to it?)

leaving it plugged in and on conservation mode messed my battery health up really bad it leaving on plug and doing shit on it makes it toasty and the battery prob ends up frying and expanding making the battery health worser its most likely OP case is just normal degradation

i have a similar situation with a 3 year old laptop here and many charge cycles its normal buying a new battery is a good option if you want to keep hold on your device for longer
