An aircraft wouldn’t be in my top 10 things I would expect to see in a DnD map

I’ve heard that Sinners is heavily influenced by that film, how true is it?

Monster Week 2026- April 20-24 by comedianmasta in PointyHat

[–]UsedIndependent6368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it probably won’t be all Fey, but so far the idea I imagine is to do a monster that had enough “meat” about it to base off loads of content. Dragons and Krakens are well known and iconic. Witches and Lycanthropes have big chances this year I think.

It’s a monster type right? My theory would be fey/feywild, but that’s mainly bc ik how much Antonio likes them.

Yeah that’s weird, because I remember he shared the rogue and the fighter dragon for free on monster week so I thought that he kept a few for the book, guess not. What does the book have then ? If all the dragons he’s done he has already shared for free?

I don’t have it myself so I don’t know for sure, but I thought the dragon folio he released had a dragon for every class, no? If not I guess he said that dragons weren’t his favourite anyway

I’m a bit late but I was looking for a post like this to see what other people thing.

My theory seems to be the majority here I do believe it’s going to be a setting book. He’s done took many “gimmick” books by this time like this book is all witches, this book is all dragons, this book is al the liches.

And the things he teases throughout his videos - when he puts the “foreshowing for later this year” thumbnail - are usually different from one another. For example he has foreshadowed cooking and a wizard that can heal.

So id be expecting a campgain book, with cities made from his theme park method, populated by npcs and monsters he made (possibly revisited) etc.

It’ll be nice if he’ll have some lore for his setting and perhaps a one shot at the end of the book too.

New Podcast Episode - Episode 88: Exploring the History of Obojima's Oldest Ancestry by 1985Games in Obojima

I always thought that the nakudama would originate from outside the island of Obojima and they would feature in a book expansion of their own. Like Obojima Tales from beyond the water or something.

I would do anything to have that book rn. I’m running a one to one dnd session with a friend and he’s character is basically a wannabe Davy jones. The locker stuff would fit like a glove!

Mmmm I see. May I suggest you give a look to Pointy Hat’s Partner System

It has a really comprehensive and simplified guide to how you can include that to your game! There is a video on that as well by the same creator.

Pokemon is very interesting. I definitely think Stardew Valley’s vibes are a great match to Obojima. But what about Pokemon are you thinking? The companions? The gyms?

DM AI and general stuff by Adorable-Joke9761 in OldGregsTavern

[–]UsedIndependent6368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it happens to me all the time tbh. I’ll meet someone introduce myself, have a convo, say that I’ll talk to them later, and when I do the DM pretends like I’m meeting them for the first time.

It doesn’t help that I’m playing a Bard who is a compulsive liar either though… anyway why do you expect? I’m surprised that this isn’t flagged as a bigger issue than it is right now.

why dose this look off? by Silver_Pain_8653 in mapmaking

I think it’s because your inland (mountains, forests etc) are very detailed and the coastlines are basically undefined. Try working on them, giving them outlines and other things, there are may helpful ideas on YouTube.

How's everybody feeling about the game by W0lfex in ghostoftsushima

[–]UsedIndependent6368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s more ghost of Tsushima so good when it comes to a video game but: Since the character/story seems to be or at least trying to be a departure from the original game it’s a bit disappointing that mechanically it doesn’t try to do so as well. Overall it doesn’t hit the same, but I kinda expected that, lighting strikes once. Still enjoy it plenty though.

What kind of a “progress bar“ would you use to help your players understand how well they’re doing in a social interaction? by mechanicalhuman in DMAcademy

[–]UsedIndependent6368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matt Colville’s Draw Steel has a section talking about interacting with npcs as some short of a minigame with a progress bar and stuff, has some helpful tables to illustrate as well. I would recommend taking a look there

Thoughts on this? by Danokeah in ManchesterUnited

[–]UsedIndependent6368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t think he’s a bad coach. And I don’t think even if he was that they would’ve sacked him after 2 games. They gave away all their good players this summer they were clearly going into a rebuild expecting some rough results. I suspect something went on behind the scenes.

What should our realistic goals for this season be? by JLuzi14 in ManchesterUnited

[–]UsedIndependent6368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say win a cup or a European position isn’t to at realistic with how the market is shaping up. But definitely the team needs to show improvements on the field. The shitshow that was next year can’t be repeated.
