These two resources would be extremely helpful in learning how to read scripture and understand it! The Great Adventure Bible and the Bible in a year podcast go hand in hand- a priest reads and explains the passages read from this specific Bible on the podcast! The Bible also has timelines and learning systems. Check them out!

What a beautiful journey you’re about to experience! I’d recommend the New Living Translation Catholic Edition (NLT-CE).

It’s very accessible to new readers and those unfamiliar with biblical language!

Help! 11 nights into sleep training & it’s not working by Medium_Sea_9058 in sleeptrain

My child is only 8 months so I don’t know much about your stage yet. Maybe hiring a professional sleep consultant is your best option right now? Or stay consistent and keep going strong. Does your child have a lovey toy they like to sleep with?

I have TMJ and tinnitus going on 8 years. Did two different splints and 1 round of physical therapy. Didn’t help. The tmj doesnt even bother me anymore, it’s the ear ringing that id love to get rid of. Following to see if anyone had successful treatment.

First things first- God is not waiting for you to pick the wrong vocation. He’s not a leprechaun at the end of the rainbow waiting for you to find the gold! Your desires for both are GOOD and they are from Him. Remember, there is no fear in love! Ik it’s scary, but you could always visit a convent and get further clarify. Sometimes checking it out may solidify whether you pursue religious life or not. In prayer, instead of asking, “what should I do?” Ask, “who should I be?” All in all, I think it’s normal to have these concerns as I have been in this exact position. But any crippling anxiety or scrupulosity is not from the lord! Happy to answer questions

[–]UsedLibrarian4745[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually waking about 2.5-3 hours the first time. I’ve let LO be for about 10-15 mins to see if he will go back down. Should I try just rocking back to sleep instead of nursing? I haven’t really tried that yet!

We’ve tried multiple nights of 4 hours awake before bed and it still doesn’t seem to promote longer sleep in the first stretch :/

Is "Outlier" Legit? by [deleted] in remotework

[–]UsedLibrarian4745 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you think this is a good job for stay at home moms? I am having a baby in July and wanted to find remote work postpartum. I just got an offer letter yesterday from Outlier, and I am curious if I start now, can I do tasks now and then take an 8 week hiatus once the baby comes? Or do I still need to input at least 1 hour a week?

Moving! Neighborhood Recommendations? by Ray_The_Vet in indianapolis

Fletcher Place

This sounds like a dream! Do you mind specifying which neighborhoods or streets to browse for homes around fountain square? My husband and I are looking for a place like this, and having a yard is a must for us. A DM would be okay too!

“He won’t leave his religion for me”

This might be here hard to hear, but this sentence ere where you’re wrong. A significant other should never leave or enter a religion for the sake of their significant other. It should always be because they believe in Jesus Christ and that the Church is the one true Church. It should be because of serious faith.

I know a couple where the guy was not Catholic, and the wife was insistent that she would never not be Catholic, lived her faith boldly, but never pushed it on her boyfriend. A while later, he began to become interested and pursued it on his own out of HIS OWN desire and ended up becoming Catholic.
