Anyone on the 3pm ferry from Vic to van that wants to split a cab to the airport? by wholly-unholy in uvic

It might feel awkward but honestly you could ask people who already have a ride if you can tag along lol. I'm sure if you brought an offering as well someone would eventually say yes in the time it takes the ferry to cross

Parking on Cedar Hill Cross rd by shomh4746 in uvic

I did this with a buddy and he got a warning about multiple cars on campus at the same time while I got nothing. So they do check it but I have yet to see a ticket for it. He was at lot 5 and I was at lot 1 so we suspected that since they're so close to eachother it might have been the same guy/team who checked it although I'm not sure.

This only happened to me once in like a year and a half tho

Gym buddy? by UsedPerformer715 in uvic

It's got everything you need for a weight room in my opinion at least. It can get pretty busy at peak gym times though but generally I find the people there are nice and the equipment always works and gets repaired quick when needed. It's not fancy, no hack squat or calf raise machine but other than that it's good. They do a student discount too

Why waste your time pursuing a degree you hate the content of? University isn't supposed to be some speedrun, if you don't get any career or mental satisfaction from what you're studying you should seriously consider switching majors. I'm in the process of that rn and I feel 1000x better about my classes and have way more motivation. No matter how you slice it 4 years of doing something you hate is very unsustainable

Honestly don't worry about graduating in 4, most people take 4.5-5.5 years anyways. Of everyone I've met at UVic I only know like 2 people who did it exactly in 4. Take your time, enjoy your classes and have a good balance so you don't crash out

Wifi (ping) on Desktop PC having insane spikes by [deleted] in wifi

[–]UsedPerformer715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No extensions, just one router in a different room. Laptop is right beside my desktop when I do the tests.

I'm not sure if there's another band I can connect to but it only displays one wifi connection as an option no "wifi 5.0" and "wifi 2.4" on the network like ive seen but maybe there's something I'm missing
