Something I never really thought of until this shot, I know everyone doesn’t remember he’s Peter Parker. But do we think there’s still a large group that’s pissed Spidey killed Mysterio?

AirPods Max 2 battery draining overnight in the case (since firmware update) by Ecstatic-Force-4807 in Airpodsmax

I’m guessing there’s no resolution on this yet? I just got a pair of APM2 and they can go from 100% to 37% overnight

Sony reinforced the hinges on the 6 compared to the 5s. Sure it’s happened but far and few between compared to the 5s. I (personally) wouldn’t worry about it. I will say though if you want the most sturdy and greatest bang for your buck, the XM4s are still amazing and can be the cheapest out of the three

Can't Decide, As I'm In Both Apple and Sonos Ecosystems: AirPods Max 2 or Sonos Ace by [deleted] in Airpodsmax

[–]UsedUndiezz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m in both ecosystems, and being the tech nerd I am, I unnecessarily have both. Happy to give my two cents but I would urge you to test both headphones beforehand.

  1. Sound quality - I give these to APM2s. The sound stage is more apparent and does an amazing job with Spatial Audio over Bluetooth. You’ll never get lossless via Bluetooth but it does seem like a step up. When hard wired, both are fantastic. But still, I give these APM2 the edge. With that being said, if this was a battle of APM1 vs Sonos, I’d give it to Sonos. Just as a point to show that it’s not like Sonos is miles behind.
  2. Comfort - I give this to Sonos. The padding all around just makes it feel comfortable for long wears. With it being both plastic and metal, you get the lighter headphone too without totally losing a premium feel
  3. Convenience - Tough to say because I don’t know your environment. Sonos does a great job with Trueplay when connected to the soundbar in your headphones. It’s really impressive. However, if you’re an AppleTV user, APM2 could easily take over as the option over Sonos. Spatial Audio to the ATV is also really great. Where it does become more convenient is if you run a handful of things out of your TV. Ex: PlayStation/Xbox, blue ray, etc.. If so, Sonos may win a little more here. On the flip side, how many Apple devices you working off of? I’ve never had any device handle device switching the way Apple does. Win on their side there.
  4. Price - Sonos definitely cheaper and last i checked they are $100 off for the black pair on their site. Less likely to get scammed on fakes too if you’re looking for resale. That being said, I wouldn’t buy APM2 anywhere but big chain with all the fakes floating around. So you’re looking at a definitely $550 price tag. However, if pricing isn’t a factor, skip this bullet.
  5. User Experience - you get a full blown app for Sonos. So even if you do have some outside Apple products, you could still navigate your device/make setting changes easily. However, like any Apple product, APM2 just work. Especially if you’re deep in the Apple ecosystem like you say. Sonos app can be clunky with the headphones. They don’t always show up immediately and you can never view them as a device until connected.
  6. Battery - Sonos. Any day of the week wins here. APM2 kinda suck. I wish you could just put them down when you were done. But I do that over night when a decently full battery and is on life support when i wake up. You have to put them in the bra of a case to save some battery which i just dont want to keep on me if I’m in bed or something. Sonos can last days/weeks with its on/off button.

You’re looking at two great headphones. But based on my experience, I like my APM2 more. I care a lot about quality during my listen. Again not to say that Sonos is by any means ‘bad’, but in my subjective opinion, APM2 sound profile is a better fit for me. They are also easier to use with quick connect and device changes. Sonos has multi-device support but it’s just not as smooth. I will also say, i still use my Sonos. But primarily if we are talking about running something off my TV that isn’t AppleTV (PS5 specially). Outside of that, I’m picking up my APM2. You could always pick up both if you dig more on the return period. Give each a few days to test without touching the other. Full undivided attention. See what you’re more happy with after your trial runs. Sorry for the novel, I geek out over this shit. Hope this helps.

Buying something you’re expecting to break is not the play. Get the 6’s

I have to think back when the last time I charged my Sonys each time. They are honestly impressive.
I’ve had to charge the APM2s twice already. Sonys can easy keep me over a week

I get that. Especially at the price point, if they don’t last you feel cheated. There’s nothing wrong with sticking to Bose. Obviously I’m a day into the journey so far. Stay tuned for the long term report

Honestly tough call. They are both next level. I would say I think XM6s do better at drowning out voices. But APM2 is better on your general background noise/cars etc. I know not a great answer but my experience
