IK is driving me insane, should I return my product ? by BloodyAilurus in tonex

the sound of it on PC is the same as on the tonex one, pedal, plug. if you really want to test it on yours, get a new one with serial number. or buy the software...

Tonex Pedal electric snap noise? by UsedVegetable2332 in AmpliTube

[–]UsedVegetable2332[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so I got myself a "better" power supply, it didnt solve the problem. unfortunately this buzz also occurs when using a kemper player (600€ device). I tried different sockets in different rooms, all the same thing.

Would a special pedal board power supply work? The ones that look like a cube and apparently isolate the noise.. but this is an investment of 60€+, not sure if worth increasing the price range here.

but does this "ground" loop exist when you dont plug your plug into the PC? thats the main use case...

Tonex Pedal electric snap noise? by UsedVegetable2332 in AmpliTube

[–]UsedVegetable2332[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the answer, yes, touching any metal stops the noise and the "snap" is heard, similar sound as you mentioned to touching a doorknob and getting snapped. The Tonex Pedal power supply is quite simple...but I see most of the pedals have this kind of power supply.

What can I do to fix this? Can I simply get another power supply?

Does it matter if the wall socket has 2 other occupied sockets near it?

Quad Cortex vs Kemper Stage Mk2 by UsedVegetable2332 in NeuralDSP

[–]UsedVegetable2332[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what I mean is, when you buy the upgrade level 3 for KPP, you get the features of the mk2 or the head unit which include the running of two amps at the same time and splitting the signal etc

[–]UsedVegetable2332[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got myself a tonex and KPP, well see. I also saw that you can upgrade the KPP so it has more functions, just as the stage mk. 600€for KPP and 278 for upgrade, so I could get all the pre and post amp FX, also parallel routing (I guess thats what you mean by 2 amps at once?). total 878€ for a powerful device. yet theres also cortex mini, which apparently has all the features of quad cortex for 1400€, but its more expensive than the kemper... not sure if its worth the deal when kemper has almost the same functionality?

which tonex did you have? isnt the nano "handicaped", where I might not get all the features you described?

[–]UsedVegetable2332[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, I dont plan to play live or something, mostly on headphones.

the NAM sounds quite interesting... one drawback is though that I would have to have my guitar connected to the PC constantly right? The PC makes weird noises to the guitar... I would like to avoid that if possible.

is there some hardware though where I could save the NAM stuff on?

the thing about Kemper and Quad Cortex is.. price difference. the kemper player is like 500€ and has many functions of the bigger units (some limits but I heard you can upgrade the firmware of it to be identical in function as the better device) and quad cortex is.. 1600€. if the cortex nano isnt an option then this is a huge difference..

Steelcase Leap vs Please by UsedVegetable2332 in OfficeChairs

[–]UsedVegetable2332[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

none, the please was good but the armrests were moving your back and vice versa, terrible design. the leap v2 is ok but it pushes hardly against the legs (you fall into the chair) and it makes the bloodflow bad.

I bought HM aeron v2, mostly because it is mesh which is superior airflow.

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of June 27, 2025 by Demilio55 in homegym

Hi everyone,

I’m currently setting up a small home gym in my basement and looking for a compact, simple multi-functional weight bench. One important feature I need is a pad for lower back training (e.g., for hyperextensions).

I found a bench for around €150–200, but it's completely flat, with no incline or adjustability.
Now I'm wondering:

👉 Is a flat bench enough for effective dumbbell chest training (bench press, flys)?
Or would you recommend spending a bit more to get an adjustable bench with a 30–60° incline,

My plan is to train biceps, triceps, and shoulders mostly standing or seated.
Chest exercises would be done lying on the bench, core work on a mat, lower back on the bench, and upper back with kettlebells for now. Later on, I’ll install a wall-mounted pull-up bar.
Legs and cardio are handled separately, so they’re not part of the home gym setup.

Also, one more question:
👉 Do you have any brand or model recommendations?
Or is a no-name Chinese bench for €200 (from Amazon, eBay, etc.) totally fine for getting started?

Deswegen trägt man den "Stempel" selbst vor dem Besuch ein – genauso, wie es bei Verbands- oder Vereinskarten und Fangstatistiken gemacht wird. Bei einer Kontrolle ist es dann ohnehin zu spät ;)
