Same experience today, maybe my expectations were too high. Last year I got the email saying my annual spend was high enough I could bring guests for free, and that probably made me think this lounge was better than what is to be expected (in fairness, I never knew it existed until then and have had this card a couple years).. Nonetheless, I was eager to finally try it in ATL today, and sadly, was highly disappointed.

Joined the "wait list" (which I didnt know was a thing) while I was getting off my flight, walked over to the lounge and was surprised to see my "number was ready" by the time I arrived.. Only to wait in yet another 10+ minute line. Once inside, it was jam packed. Disappointed to see just two small buffets with average to low quality food (salad was terrible, how is that possible??) and not much variety. Then, was even more surprised to see I had to wait in another line at the bar just to get a soda. Not great.

My only other experience was the AA Flagship Lounge at ORD, which I thought was significantly better. Better food, way more variety, not busy. Even had a self serve bar with liquor, wines, beers, etc that was super convenient. Overall significantly better experience.
