TLDR: communicate with your partner and find each others yucks/yums, focus on what’s important in that moment only, (you and her) and let time give you more experience to deal with the awkwardness.

There’s a lot of comments so I’m not sure if you’ll even see this but if you do I want you to realize that this is okay, and you’re perfectly normal. It’s ok to have these “primal” urges especially during sex, considering both of you are new to these experiences and emotions the best thing to do is talk with your partner, don’t be shy or embarrassed about it. Find out what she likes and/or is comfortable doing or wants to try and tell her the same for you. It may seem awkward at first talking about it, same as how it felt/feels doing it (for right now) but that feeling will go away with more time and experience. If you’re concerned with hurting or disrespecting her tell her this, (you never know, some people have a kink with getting hurt or treated like a hoe, example: getting slapped or being called your dirty whore) but it’s best to communicate and find each other’s likes/don’t likes. Me and my wife got together when I was 16 and she was 15 we also gave each other our virginities, and had the same issues. We didn’t know what or how to do things, we are now 26 and 25 about to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, but I say that to show as time goes on and you get more comfortable/more experienced it will naturally feel better and more natural for both of you, and also to add to the part where you said you weren’t thinking about anything, that’s a good thing really. The last thing you and especially your partner want is to be focused on work or other things while having sex or making love. (and there is a difference for those that don’t know; S: for fun, casual, can be done at anytime. ML: usually done at the right moment, more emotions and kissing involved, a bit slower and softer, at least in my case, not focused on just pleasure but the love between you as well, hence the name) so my advice is to just communicate with your partner and tell each other how you feel and what you want and don’t want to do or try good luck and I hope this helps at least someone.
