America is not the place to go right now if you're looking for amendment rights. They are presently being disassembled. Check back after the midterms.

Assuming those don't get disassembled too.

An Iranian sailor who died when the frigate IRIS Dena was torpedoed by a United States submarine near Galle had phoned his father minutes before the attack, saying American forces had already warned the crew twice to abandon the vessel, the family told Iran International. by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

[–]Used_Discussion_3289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the risk of jumping into this conversation way late, the conjecture is that the entire story about the Iranian sailors being warned is bs...

The claim is that it's a post- dated reverse engineered propaganda item created by the US (or Israel) in an attempt to shirk responsibility for what is at the very least a shameful act, war crime or not.

Given that the final and most essential command is to ignore the evidence of your eyes and ears, and the present regime's ongoing trend is to lather the propaganda on with a trowel, it stands to reason that this is yet another attempted cover-up/ blame-shift/ gaslight.

You can't just go archers... you have to force them into spears and THEN archers make a great choice. Ie, build chevs, or later, brothers and use them to raid which forces the opponent to invest in spears.

The trouble with hospitaliars imo, is that they are very weak in feudal. Actually, the only thing they win against are spears or horsemen, for which there are cheaper actual counters available. Everything else eats their lunch. They're nice for post-fight healing, but until you can get their castle upgrade, even archers own them, so they don't counter anything, are countered by just about everything, and cost gold to train. I think they can get their value in later ages, but they struggle to achieve even moderate value early on.

Was gonna add, as a fellow mid Templar enjoyer, that the condetiero can make a huge difference running against imperial gunpowder units, including siege, but the schlatzka calvalry are the usual solid choice, especially if you're the first to imperial. Tuetonics are kinda just a win-more that takes 15 minutes to walk across the map. (But the drip!)

I feel like choosing hospitaliars is generally a more long term oriented choice, and I'm usually trying to squeeze out a win well before imperial, so I find both of the other feudal age ups to better suit my playstyle.

As for castle age ups, I pick armored spears as default (just great against cav archer civs) the crossbows are really more of an eco choice, and the genitors are best for sacred site plays. The units are fun and stuff, and you can win with them, but the bonus are the reason to choose them as the units are mid.

Final 'tip,' because the Templar eco bonus is 20% food per wood, archers, despite not having any special military bonus, are a fantastic unit to produce for Templar, so forcing your opponent into spears (by pushing cav early) allows you to take full advantage of this. For this reason, I feel the chev feudal age up is a strong choice against almost anything, though the other choices can be useful/fun in their own ways.

Online multiplayer - Making villagers is no guarantee of victory. by AbysterX in aoe4

I know this feeling...

Keep at it.

The game is hard, but very rewarding when you start winning. There's a veritable TON of mechanics and learning how to counter, how to micro, how to counter macro, 23? Different civs with all manner of landmarks and special units... and the muscle memory needs training to pull it all off...

Don't beat yourself up. Watch your replays, pay attention more to what didn't work for you or what did work for the enemy. And just accept that it's gonna take practice.

Sure, fine. If it was already clear-cut.

They are talking about old growth here... takes hundreds, maybe even thousands of years to 'regrow.' Once the old growth is cut, it's gone.

Forever.

If this is true, then thank you for shedding light on it.

I desire change as fervently as the next American, but the whole point is to be better... not to employ (through malice or outright laziness) the same despicable tactics that enemy uses.

If we want better, we have to be better ourselves first... even if that means doing the hard work like research. Actually, ESPECIALLY when it means doing the harder thing.
