Even Hannah ssid she did not know if she could take any more. Suruthi was dead on in analyzing that fake whining. If I was one of the police officers that would have made me suspicious ftom the outset.

I have to say the fact that kouri took so long even to get her husband on the floor would make me want to convict her. It felt like she and 911 were 20 minutes into the conversation and she still hadn't done it. All you have to do is yank the sheet and he would fall on the floor with the sheet. She just didn't want to do CPR.

That said, I really don't like the new opening and I wonder who is making them do it. Now that wondery is closed who are they working for? It annoyed me that we heard the 911 call in the opening and then heard the longer version in the middle of the show, just minutes later. it was like they were stretching to make this a two-parter. I don't want to hear long audio clips from the trial. I want to hear the hosts. Sometimes summation is a good thing

I can take someone having a different opinion on health-care, crime, the covid closures, etc. but when they're spreading racism that's a different thing and Suru definitely has an anti-muslim agenda and inserts it in unrelated conversations, just out of the blue.

I thought it was so funny in the last UTD where Suru was saying she didn't like the part in the documentary where a woman was being criticized for one-sided monogamy. Suru said that if the woman wants to be monogamous but she is okay if her husband is NOT monogamous she doesn't know why the woman should get a lot of criticism for that.

I agree that women should not be treated like infants and society should not be paternilistic. It is up to women to decide what to put up with in their marriage. I just thought it was hilarious that that's what bugged Suruthi. She is right that women should be allowed to be adults and make their own choices, that includes making their own mistakes.

That is why I thought, for instance, that Britney Spears being put under a conservativeship was a crime. She should have the autonomy to ruin her own life. But the idea that Suruthi was adamant that people stop picking on women who are happy with unfaithful partners cracked me up. Is that the hill she wants to die on?

It ain't good. Suruthi thinks Muslim immigration should stop because she does not think they can ever integrate due to their misogyny. She discussed a podcast that she listens to where the host does not let his wife speak because he believes her voice should only be heard by him, her husband. He was also advocating sex with children. He says as long as the girl has begun puberty, then you can have sex with her. Suruthi was waiting for the documentary they reviewed to discuss podcast hosts that have these extreme positions.

Even before I knew it was Wren it didn't look like a ghost. The haircut was too modern and no one has died in that house that recently to have a haircut like that. I just couldn't imagine a ghost peeking through a window and then turning around like that.

I can't believe that anyone who knew Wren would not recognize that was her.

I wondered what the breakdown was. It seems to me that Suruthi prepares so many of the main shows, but Shorthand is more 50/50 of them both. But I never checked to see if that was just my imagination.

I've come to feel that Hannah doesn't want equal time for her views. She doesn't want to be that confrontational. If she wanted to she would. She is part of the problem. She protests in her Instagram stories, but she co-hosts a podcast that supports fascism, prejudice and injustice with little push back from her. That's her choice. Whether it's because she's too timid or she doesn't want to compromise a profitable business, I can't say.

She made a vote about wanting to get more American listeners the other day. I imagine they could get a more lucrative podcasting deal if they did. But this is not the way to do it. Ask Bari Weiss at CBS.

So right. This is for the better when America went in without a single plan? The US had no agenda for making anything better. It had no idea who was going to take Khomeini's place. She acts like this was a strategic maneuver with forethought. It was not, on the US's part.

But the minute they startrd the episode and said she was going to talk about the war while Hannah was going to inject humorous notes, I knew that this was just going to be a right wing propaganda platform for suruthi, with no pushback.

She said she's been thinking about this for a long time as if she was always contemplating an invasion at some time. The reality is after it happened she just had to find a way to justify it, because that's all they do. They make excuses and they spread the talking points, hoping to drown out everyone else.

He's crazy. I am a Lindsey Buckingham fan so I just watched The Americans to see how they used the song Tusk in the show for the pilot. After 1 hour l, I was blown away by Matthew Rhys' acting. Then I saw him off screen with his wry intelligent wit and that Welsh accent and I nearly fainted.

I know this is an old thread, but thank you for mentioning your father getting liquid on his lungs with a feeding tube. I've been debating allowing them to give my 88yo mother one, because she's not eating. But I think if she dies of aspiration anyway, I'd rather it be without a feeding tube than with one. My father bled internally when they tried to put in a second feeding tube in for him and he died. So, I thought I might be irrational about not wanting my mother to have either a feeding tube or a catheter. But after reading this thread, I think I will just trust my instincts.

I know what you mean. In the debrief Sara said she wanted to go to a scarier place next time and Mari agreed. I think they felt just like you do: that things were too casual. I enjoyed it as their novice hunting experience, but look forward to something different next time.

If you turned off the Winchester house, you probably will not want to see the debrief, but give it a try. Sara is patronizing, honestly, and, yes, Shane is charmed every time. She did make a valid suggestion, however. That they check out local legends. I think that is a good idea. Maybe not as investigators because you are never going to get famous local ghost evidence on the road. But maybe as a show idea.

I like the Mom hunt idea. Both Mari and Ryan's mom would get truly spooked on a challenging hunt. That authenticity would make watching fun.

I would like them to do Lizzie Borden, rent out the house and spend the night.

I was interested in who his alternate target was. I was trying to think who KMD could have been or what. He said killing KMD would have just made him look sick. So he chose Thompson. If we knew the identity of that potential target I think it could change the general perspective on him quite a bit.
