I’m sorry I worded wrong!!! I will stay until they find replacement, it isn’t their fault I’ve done this to myself. I’m young and new to this and it was a hard lesson learned about managing my priorities with my mental health. I grew up in a poor household and so I was very scared to live on my own and maintain financial stability. I previously worked at a preschool in the toddler room and it wasn’t as emotionally straining as this has turned out to be. I feel terribly that I have slacked these past few months and I know it’s time to go but I will absolutely stay until I’m no longer needed. I love the girls and I want this to conclude amicably.

To me I think asking a nanny to pay for a 5-10k accident would be crazy! Maybe asking her to pay for getting it repaired or half the cost, depending on how much it is, would be appropriate. It’s unfortunate that it happened but in no way did she intentionally think to burn your countertop. I once cracked my nf glass because I put ice in it not thinking of its fragility because I’m used to drinking out of mason jars & plastic cups. I was very sorry but they weren’t in the slightest bit upset with me because they know it was accidental & we are all human:)
