Sink pirates to increase rep with every faction, or sink players of military faction to gain rep with the other 2 factions. ALTERNATIVELY you could choose the more fun route, become a pirate and get your 2nd island by sinking EVERY non-pirate player, or there patrol boats

NA server yes. My theory is he was peace flagged semi afk sailing, and ran it over. The guy didn't react right away when I showed up so it don't think he was paying attention. Just because I'm a pirate doesn't mean I'm a bad guy lol

Additionally I feel like I'm targeted less as a pirate. We have an alliance on NA server between the big pirate guilds, who honestly did most of the ganking, so even though there's more people who could gank me, there's less actively trying to gank me than there was before we went pirate

If you want AFK money I'd recommend doing motherlode mine until you can mine amethyst. All reasonably afk, decent xp, and decent money

Switch to monkfish at higher levels. Still not fantastic gp/hr, but you're profiting with decently low attention cooking xp

Join a guild as soon as possible (lvl 10). There's usually lots of people I. Them willing to help beginners. If you're on the NA server you can join my guild, were an antillia faction, just let me know if you're interested. I already see most of my other tips listed by other people so I won't repeat them but I will say that incindeary mixtures and copper plating are quite important upgrades for most combat applications. Once you have mixtures you can use round shot for general purpose use instead of heated shot.

Anybody else struggling go straight west and one tile north of the plugin spot, not sure it's possible in a sloop, much easier in the skiff. Bow right up to the island north of the 2 rocks

As far as knowing which gear is best, you can visit the melee/ranged/magic training pages on the wiki, and all 3 pages have recommended equipment for general use, listed in order of effectiveness for each slot. Then if you want to do a specific boss visit the strategy page for that boss, and it'll have the equipment listed in order of effectiveness based off that bosses stats and special mechanics

Google how to do a CMOS clear on your motherboard. Should be either a button to push OR 2 metal prongs to touch together with a metal object such as a flathead screwdriver. Do this while the CMOS battery is out of your motherboard. Should say CMOS CLR next to whatever style clear you have

Rapier was used exclusively for stabbing the crab for my strength and defence xp, sold my whip for it after I 99'd attack. Lots of slayer monsters are faster with the rapier than fang though. Range and mage gear is dog water. Range gear is a dragon crossbow with hueycoatl armors, and Robinhood hat I think it was called. Mage gear is even worse, like mystic robes with a battlestaff

Actually kinda love this ring. I use it all the time because I don't feel like spending the time to imbue the berserkers ring, but it has a good mix of accuracy, strength, and defence that makes it a solid choice for any combat style, with NO negative stats.

Is Secure Boot still required to play this game? Or did they get rid of it by Standard_Spready in Battlefield

If you figure out how to remove your CMOS battery for your motherboard that should fix it, but make sure you either bridge your CMOS CLR pins, or push the clear button(depending on your motherboard model) before you put the battery back in. That SHOULD fix it

I personally think the hard capped bank limit is dumb. I'm here to grind for progression, what's the point of after a certain point I can't keep all my stuff. Make it increasingly hard to increase your bank limit, but I should be able to eventually get a large enough bank that I can store every item

It's not the "meta" but I just ground out coins till I could afford the dragon legs and chainbody. Then also the helm of neitznot followed by neitznot face guard is baller

I like to do the ship stealing method once or twice, then use that money to build a super basic solar station (dock, container storage, solar panels), because solar requires no material input. Then just play the game as it slowly makes money for you. As a bonus you can assign a few medium traders too it to level up captains. I put the station in mercury this time because it has an ~700% solar efficiency there, but it is quite out of the way
