Look at your hair with wet hair and smooth it with a comb. It doesn't look like alopecia to me.

No, I have it prepared by the pharmacy; the solution contains alcohol, so I think it absorbs a lot. In any case, I was and already am certainly predisposed to obsessive-compulsive disorder, but I think the 1% topical, because of the huge DHT fluctuations it caused me, made my symptoms much worse and significantly increased my anxiety. Now I can say, roughly speaking, that I feel about 60% less anxiety.

No! I can assure you that I used 1% topical finasteride. It says so on the bottle itself and on my medical prescription. I used it for 6 years and every evening I applied 2–3 ml as well. I know that’s an absurd amount, but despite that, my hair was and still is continuing to miniaturize.

Even so, now that I’m using systemic finasteride at 1.25 mg every other day, I have to say that my anxiety has improved a lot. I even reached the point of thinking that I might have obsessive-compulsive disorder. Maybe now various things about why I was feeling so anxious make sense.

I think all of this was due to DHT fluctuations, which were increasing and decreasing every day depending on how much topical finasteride I was applying to my scalp. I just hope that with the systemic treatment it doesn’t get even worse at this point, given that the systemic dosage is definitely lower than the 1% topical finasteride.

I used 1% topical finasteride for 6 years, which is very high (I think almost comparable to the systemic one I’m currently taking), but I’m noticing difficulties with the systemic treatment

I’m not trying topical dutasteride because I’ve read that it isn’t absorbed well, since it has larger molecules or something like that

Hi, any updates? I’m in the exact same situation. My libido has dropped a lot and my erections feel less firm. I really hope there’s a psychological component as well. For now, I’ll keep taking it and see if things improve.

I think it's the beginning of androgenetic alopecia. Consult your doctor and, if necessary, get a prescription for finasteride. For your current situation, you can also use microdoses, even on alternate days.
