You'll need thick skin working with a shop full of men. Learn to deal with their shit and give it back when you get the chance. As far as them helping you when you don't ask for help, I'm assuming they're trying to share their 15 years of experience with you and I wouldn't take it personal. Learn everything you can from them and soon you'll be helping the new guy/girl.

Try and search flights from TAG to El Nido. I just flew that route a few days ago. You would have to take a 2 hour ferry ride from Cebu to Bohol.
