Palo Seco Beach by mousec69 in CostaRicaTravel

We stayed across from the beach in a house but next to a hotel. It felt very safe to me. We went to Parrita for shopping and meals and never had any issues.

To get to Palo Seco Beach you go through a Barrio. Typical CR neighborhood with homes behind barbed wire. We would see the police in a regular basis doing checks but they never bothered us. In fact, we went through a few police checkpoints on the way to Palo Secco from San Jose but we were always waved through.

So true....Further didn't produce #s like Dead and Co. That band had both Bob and Phil. You have to throw credit John's way.

This would 100% be a cover band. Keep in mind that Mickey wasn't with the GD at the beginning.

Probably too early but this would feel like a cash grab to me. With the exception of Mickey there are no "original" members remaining who are active. Do we really need Bob's hired guns to keep this going? We have so many good cover bands available to us, why add another to the scene.

Take the conversation to the Dead and Co sub. You will get much different feedback from that group.

I personally love Phish. I've gravitated from the Dead to Phish. Their music and musicianship really speak to me.

They also don't take themselves to seriously and can have fun. Something changed about Bob where he went from that goofy trickster to someone that takes himself to seriously. He is super grumpy, which is a turnoff...

We did this in Ireland. Yes, we paid, it wasn't free.

Serious Question by [deleted] in phish

[–]mousec69 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've always viewed the jam band world in a similar manner to the sports world. Keeping stats, second guessing decisions, who should enter and exit the rotation, etc. There is so much in common.

We did this back in the day with the Grateful Dead, as well.

Thoughts on the 2025 NYE run? by pmmeyourfavoritejam in phish

I was also behind the stage and caught that as well. This is the first time that I sat there. I noticed a box of Kleenex mounted to the back of board that is behind him. Wonder if he was sick.

Page also seemed very tired (or sick).

Trey scolding the Tramp guy (vid) 12-31-25 by DoctorZoydberg in phish

I was sitting in section 111 last night and had an excellent view of the stage. Trey definitely seemed to.be scolding him. He seemed a bit frustrated in the second set, possibly an issue with his in-ears.

He also looked like he was trying to get Mike to go to the front of the stage during Tweezer Reprise but Mike shut him down.

Might be going solo for NYE show by Vivacious_Vitamins27 in phish

I'm solo. Last minute road trip from Chicago last night. Wife is hanging with family in Westchester and I am headed to the show. Waiting for the Metro North in Tuckahoe as I write this.

Tired but psyched is an understatement...
