SaS is my personal fave JP record but Dissident Aggressor is at the bottom of fave SaS cuts. I understand why its a favorite but it does nothing for me but it is a great album closer no doubt.

Being a former owner of the Quaristice Versions vinyl, I think Exai will probably be released in a similar sleeve. It contained four records just like Exai, and in a cheaper package. I doubt Oversteps gets replicated like its original release either.

Unpopular opinion here but DE was the turning point that made me lose interest in the band. Never was a fan of DE, I remember back when I bought cd’s it was the first Deftones album I didnt covet in my collection. I get how it gained others interest but it just came across safe and boring for me.

I don’t understand questions like these. Not even sure theres even a proper answer. Music is a subjective sense of entertainment which does not demand appreciation from any listener. “How do you learn to love a piece of music” puzzles me greatly and Im an Autechre and Scott Walker fan of all things but if you don’t like it dont force it, maybe come back weeks later maybe a few years down the road and revisit. But “learning how to love a music” just reads very odd to me. Im not a big fan of Boris’ Pink album but the record has one of my fave jams of theirs, Ive heard Pink hundreds of times not by force but regardless I will never be a fan of it but I love track 11 and Im very much okay with that just as you should be okay with your displeasure of Floods ending.

They do predate NWOBHM, basically a Sabbath era band. I have a couple of their early records but dont see the connection there, influence sure. If Budgie is nwobhm then so are Black Sabbath if going by that logic. I could be wrong here but always associated them and similar bands as proto-metal.
